Favorite King Diamond release?

I can't understand that many people are listing "The Eye" as a disappointment - it's my favorite KD disc!!



Altough, my favorite story wold be Them / Conspiracy and the second
part of Abigail. The Eye is based on the real events (except for the
necklace), so it doesn't count



New album is coming out this year!!

My favorite is Them. The musicianship and layout of the songs is awesome!!

As much as I love his solo material, my favorite stuff that King Diamond has done is still Mercyful Fate's Melissa. So many great riffs on there.

closely followed by THE GRAVEYARD (I know alot don't like this one too)

Well, my personal favorite might change, 'cause I'm totally unfamiliar with King's post The Eye era (except Abigail 2)!

I freakin' LOVE that disc. It's my favorite from King as well. After that, it's probably Abigail, Them, and Conspiracy. I've not heard any of the others enough times all the way through to rank them.

Can't understand why people do not like The Eye. It is excellent. I would venture to say there is not a bad release from the king. Some better then others, but no bad ones

very true..however, Abigail 2 was a bit of a letdown for me. not only as the sequal to Abigail, but as a follow up to House Of God. it just didn't match up.

The Puppet Master

I think The Puppet Master was one of the top heavy metal albums of 2003, very underrated.

A close friend of mine told me the DVD for the Puppet Master is scary and twisted. Have not seen it myself. I do want to get his later stuff, I want to complete my collection of older stuff first.

Was the cartoon back in the day of the Priest at the graveyard the original cover for Conspiracy? Anyone know? Can it be bought? or was it never released?

No.

Although I really like them all, I'd say Fatal Portrait is mine followed closely by Voodoo (although I think this is another one people don't like)

Abigail for me. I dont listen to King anymore BUT Abigail is the only release of his to remain in my collection because it is that good in my opinion.

I don't listen to his stuff anymore, but back when I did, the first three MERCYFUL FATE releases (Mercyful Fate EP, Melissa, Don't Break the Oath) were my favorites.

I never really got into his solo stuff. I had the first few he did, but they just never did much for me.
