I didn't even know he was sick. He was one of my favorite singers. Another legend dead...

Wait, David Bowie had cancer?!
Bittersweet way to go, leaving his fans with one last album.

Just saw the video to Lazarus and he looks like a guy that is about to die. It's weird that I bought my first Bowie & Motorhead records in decades last year.
I can't really express how much of an influence Mr Bowie has had on me over the years and he really has left us with something special with Blackstar.

I just saw this within the last half an hour. I was only a casual fan of his, but I had huge respect for his career in the industry.

Yeah, that's a bummer.
I've never been more than a casual fan at best, but there are a fair share of Bowie tracks I dig and I've always respected his inspired weirdness.
R.I.P. sir.

More than anything Bowie was an Artist in the truest sense of the word. Always evolving, always changing, always searching....in a world where most of the rest of us ride on coattails. R.I.P.

Listening to some Tin Machine as I type...(RIP) I co-sign what Mr. D threw out there, an artist in the truest sense of the term.

Come to think of it... Bowie has influenced a good amount of metal singers over the years. From Geoff Tate to Jimmy Brown from Deliverance. Even the guitarist from Saigon Kick did a great cover of Space Oddity.

Bowie's music was a big part of the soundtrack of my teenage years. I was never able to own very many of his albums, but if you listened to the radio for any length of time back then, you were guaranteed to hear a Bowie song. A highly influential artist who will be greatly missed. RIP Ziggy. Is There Life on Mars?

You know what's sad? I heard so much Bowie on the radio when I was a kid that it took the duet with Bing Crosby to make me realize that the guy really had an excellent voice. That was so out of leftfield that I couldn't help but listen to his actual singing voice because I'd never heard it in that context before.

We were just talking about him recently for his Blackstar release, but now this. I didn't know he was sick either. Such a shame. I only know some of his more well known songs, but I can imagine how his fans feel now.
