Are they even a band anymore? I have 3 or 4 of their albums and according to Amazon it looks like the last one was released in 2014 and I don't have it. They just sort of fell off my radar as "Rob Zombie Clones' which isn't surprising since "Spider" is RZ's brother.
No idea if they still exist. I picked it up just cuz of name recognition - they got a lot of ink in Metal Edge mag back in the late 90s/early '00s due to the White Zombie connection, but I never actually heard'em back then. It is very derivative of WZ, except that WZ's inspiration was schlocky horror movies, and PM5K's thing is schlocky sci-fi movies. It's not bad but I don't think it's gonna be a frequent spinner. (Kudos to whoever gave'em the idea to cover the Cars' "Good Times Roll," though, cuz that song is badass.)
Yes, they're still around. Last album came out in 2014, new one in the works.
Great band. Similar to White Zombie, sort of, but still unique enough. I don't think they'd be compared to them as much if Spider One wasn't Rob Zombie's brother.
Then again, one calls himself Rob Zombie and the other calls himself f*cking Spider One. Are we really surprised there are similarities? Haha.

Some great pickups there!
I'm from Cincinnati so CJSS was a fixture of everybody's collection.
What's the bonus track on the Kik Tracee?
I bought CJSS- Praise the Loud on vinyl for a quarter in the early 2000s. Had never heard of them, but it looked fun and I ended up loving it. At the same time, also for a quarter, I picked up the vinyl of Scanner's Hypertrace and Lion's Dangerous Attraction, plus Technical Ecstasy with a tiny ballpoint pen penis drawn on the cover. Best dollar I ever spent in my life, I think.
Joe Satriani - Surfing With The Alien Joe Satriani - The Extremist Chris Stapleton - Traveller Vials Of Wrath - Days Without Names Insomnium - Winter's Gate Darkher - Realms Ruby The Hatchet - Valley Of The Snake Sunburst - Fragments Of Creation Asphyx - Incoming Death
Blue Cheer- New! Improved! ( CD version, and holding on to my vinyl copy)

"Gentle Persuasion" a kind of light '80's Rock track compared to the rest of the album that is just sort of there. It doesn't really add or detract from the album proper.
Overall, I really like all 3 albums but the CJSS is the standout in my opine.

I enjoy that Smithereens Best Of. I used to have several of their albums on vinyl but that collection is the only one I have on CD and I think that's enough for me.

Been having a bit of a dry spell at Goodwill lately but I scored these on my way home from work tonight:
Boston - Don't Look Back Rush - Fly By Night Rolling Stones - Rewind: 1971-1984 Jethro Tull - Original Masters
I almost scored a Led Zeppelin Presence and the Doors movie soundtrack too but there were no CDs in the cases. I hate when that happens.

I remember going to a second hand CD store once, being excited to find Nocturnus - The Key. However, I then found out they didn't have the CD, only the case. Ugh!

It reads like the typical manny playlist; little bit o' this, little bit o' that, oh and something completely out of leftfield.
