There's a lot of debate about the ending of the Lesnar/Orton match.  A) was that the planned finish? or B) did they call an audible? or C) did Lesnar just do a shoot on Orton? or D) was it a legit accident?

If Lesnar "just got carried away" then I think the rest of the roster should refuse to work with him citing unsafe working conditions.

The match was always intended to end in a TKO. This was not a shoot at all. They got blood "hardway" to enhance the match. This was all done to explain Lesnar's absence from the company for several months because he's almost out of dates for the year on his contract. WWE thought this was a good way to generate buzz and get people talking and it obviously worked.

It sure did work.

I suspected it was part of the plan because of the way Lesnar kept trying to get back at Orton.  And then when he F5'd Shane I was pretty sure it was all planned out.

Right.  Paige just hung around with him because of his bubbly personality.

I just now realized as Raw is coming on that they're now using the Shinedown song "Enemies" as their theme music.

And man, that sucks for Finn Balor.  Torn labrum last night, out for 6 months or more.

...And as a result we're back to the same boring opening for RAW where everyone and his brother comes out demanding the now-vacated title.  At least this time instead of the dreaded 10 man tag match, it's at least a series of one on one matches.  I hope Rollins beats the crap out of Sami Zayn; Zayn always butts into situations like this and he's probably accrued more losses than wins since he debuted on the big roster.  I find his character very irritating.

Yeah, I'm still not sure why he has so much appeal. Sure he can go in the ring but so can any number of guys on the roster.

Wonder if he really hurt his ankle? Looked to me like it wasn't planned and that he really did land wrong on it.

I think that was legit.  His ankle was sure bent at an awkward angle on the replay

Yeah, it didn't look good at all, I kept waiting for the "X" or a quick finish.

Went to bed right after that one so I read the Raw Recap online.... After the show, Cena, AJ and Ambrose came out... They seem to continue to ignore the separation when cameras are not rolling.

I wish they'd bring back "the X".  That was such a great gimmick when I was growing up.  And now with the PG rating and all it would be the perfect time to bring it back.   I saw more "Xs" in Freddie Blassie matches than I can remember.

Blassie would start gnawing on some jobber's forehead and suddenly the big "X" would cover the screen and Gorilla Monsoon would say "Well, it's been censored."

Such a great hook...

Oh, sorry Toho, I think Mikeinfla and I were talking about the ref holding up his arms in an X to indicate a legit injury and to summon the doctor, rather than the X censor.

bubbily personality LOL thats hilarious I never liked Del Rio I felt he was nothing special since day 1

I hope Rollins doesnt get the title put it on someone more deserving and less of a asshat.

No Reigns either (if hes still in the running)

apparently Jericho and Lesnar had an altercation in the back at summerslam.

Ha! Yeah, I was referring the the ref holding up the "X" to call for a Dr. The first time I ever saw that was when Kevin Nash tore his quad and Bubba broke kayfabe by checking on him.

I also remember that other "X" (the red one over the screen) when Outlaw Ron Bass busted open Beefcake. Forgot all about that one.

Apparently, Sami is not injured I read a report that he is OK.

I also followed up on the Jericho/Lesnar thing and it says there is no heat on either backstage for it, it was just a misunderstanding.

Go to 1:34 for the big red X!

Click here --------> Ron Bass busts open Brutus Beefcake

Or here where they changed it to black and white hahaha.

HAHAHA!  I love it.  And just like the "X" I grew up with, you can still see the blood anyway.  Back then (when it was "WWWF"), the "X" was just a big white X but the idea is the same.

Yeah Jericho had good intentions but in the end it was lack of communication if anything Jericho got yelled at by Vince

Wow.  That's the most intensity I've ever seen out of Miz.  I wish he'd bring it like that all the time.   That's was an old school promo; really took me back to the days when wrestling seemed more believable.

Wow, now I really feel old.  I remember when Mr. Fugi and "Professor" Toru Tanaka were WWWF champions.  In fact I actually saw them defend the belts live against Chief Jay Strongbow and someone else.  Tanaka died a long time ago, sad to hear his partner is now gone too.
