| Nice outing by Lackey. But I was screaming at the TV when Matheny lifted him. It worked out but I still think that was a dumb move. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| What is it with Kershaw and the post-season? It's not that he's awful but he sure doesn't pitch as well as he does during the regular year. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I'm rooting for the Cards in this series. There's something about the Cubs that just rubs me the wrong way. I don't only want them to lose, I want them to lose badly. | |

I'm sick and tired of hearing them whine about stuff. "He threw at us", "The ump was calling wide strikes", "My soup's too cold", whatever. After last night's game they were complaining about the ump. I bet they aren't complaining about the fact that we just handed them 5 frickin' runs! The defense just tossed the ball all over the place and then Garcia hung one. 5 unearned runs in the 2nd. Sheesh... I think what irritates me about the Cubs is they're just "too big for their britches". They're a bunch of kids for the most part and the have an overgrown kid for a manager. They just need to grow the F up before they start mouthing off. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Well Garcia's out already and Lynn is in and getting lit up. Might as well flush this game away.
6-3 final. The Cardinals are claiming Garcia was battling a stomach virus. I'm not sure if I buy that or not; he has a history of coming unglued if the defense messes up behind him. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Lambs roll over for the Packers.
Seriously, that was bad. The game was there for the taking but poor Foles was running for his life the whole game and ended up with 4 picks. Right down to the end the Rams had the chance to put a cosmetic touchdown on the board and Foles had to scramble again and threw his 4th interception. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Now watching the ALDS with KC at Houston. I'm for Houston in this series just because they're fun to watch. They sure can blast the ball! It would be fun to watch them play Toronto but that's probably not going to happen as the Jays are down 2-0 to Texas. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Browns/Ravens game. The Ravens blow the game and lose 33-30 in overtime. I still can't believe the Steelers handed the Ravens that games last week. | |

| Cards vs Cubs
Probably switch to Raw when it starts as this game has blowout written all over it with Wacha who has sucked for the past 2 months against Arrieta who's been all-world.
EDIT: Damn! We score 6 runs in a game Arrieta starts but we still lose 8-6. That sucks! At least the Cardinals proved Arrieta is mortal; 5 2/3 innings, 4 earned runs. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Steelers/Chargers game. Steelers win it on the last play of the game with a 1 yard run by Bell out of the wildcat formation of all things. | |

| Boy I'm really learning to hate the Cubs. And not just because they're going to beat the Cardinals. They're cocky, their fans are cocky, they think the sport owes them something because they've sucked for so long, and their manager is the biggest crybaby I've seen in sports in a long time. So many reasons to hate this team at least I now have a rooting interest in the post-season; I'm rooting for anyone other than the Cubs. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I'm with ya there Toho. They've been rubbing me wrong for a while now (one of their pitchers, Hammel I believe, said "We're good and we know it"- cocky bastard) so I hope they lose and lose badly. | |

| Congratulations to the Cubs.
I hope they get the livin' sh*t kicked out of them in the NLCS. Of course if that happens, I'm sure Maddon will have some excuse. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Like I said before, normally once the Cardinals are done for the season I only have a passing interest in the rest of the MLB post-season. Even last year when we lost to the Giants, I was just like "eh, next year" and only periodically tuned in any other post-season games.
NOT THIS YEAR! I'm now an avid Cub hater because I want to see these arrogant sons-of-bitches put in their place. Especially their manager; Maddon. He's in his 50s and he's worse than all the punk kids he manages. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Maddon is from around here and when the Pirates were looking for a manager (before ultimately hiring Clint Hurdle), many fans on the talk radio circuit were pushing for them to pursue Maddon. I'm glad they didn't. | |

| Yeah, I emailed my Dad to see if he was like that in Florida. My Dad loves Maddon but I can't believe Maddon was like that down there. It's like this team of cocky, young punks are playing to his worst personality traits.
And let's not forget the Kang incident. You know if the roles had been reversed and it was a Pirates player who took out a Cub infielder on a questionable slide Maddon would still be whining about how unfair it all is. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Wow, that 7th inning of the Rangers/Jays game was the weirdest inning of baseball I've ever seen. Starting with the odd play where Jays' catcher's throw back to the pitcher hit the bat of Choo while he was in the batter's box and thus allowed the runner from third to score. Then the pelting of the field with garbage by upset Jays fans. Then Bautista blasts a 3 run homer in the bottom of the inning and benches cleared because Texas thought Bautista was "showing up the pitcher".
Such a weird inning that ended up taking almost an hour to complete.
And now I'm watching the Houston/KC game which I didn't think I really cared about until I saw who was pitching for the Royals. My old "friend" Johnny "Kick Like A Girl" Cueto; the coward who ended the career of catcher Jason LaRue by kicking him in the head and also scarred pitcher Chris Carpenter by using his spikes on his back.
Yeah, I'm now a Houston fan.
Just like I'm now a Jays fan. I sooooo want to see those bombers blast away in Wrigley. The Cubs think they're hot sh*t now; I'd love to see the Jays hammer away in that bandbox known as Wrigley. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Sure was! Especially that 7th inning. Even Harold Reynolds on the TV broadcast kept saying "I've never seen anything like this!" One of the weirdest plays you'll ever see (catcher's throw back t the mound hits the batters bat allowing a runner to score), 2 separate umpire conferences including a call to New York, fans pelting the field with debris multiple times, 3 consecutive errors, an epic 3 run homer followed by a bat flip, benches clear, inning ends, opposing pitcher pats player on the butt, benches clear again. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
