| Now to get ready for the Pirates vs Cubs. Too bad we gotta face Arrieta. | |

| Cowboys give away the game to Atlanta in the second half. Weedon sucks - a clear reminder of why is not a start QB in the NFL. | |

We may have to deal with that with the Dog Killer for who knows how long.

That's what made today's loss even worse. I'll be honest, with the Cards up 3-1 in the 9th and knowing the Pirates will be facing Arrieta, in my head the magic number was already down to 3. So much for that... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Now watching the Cardinals lay an ass-whoopin' on the 49ers. I love it!
A lot of St. Louis people hate the Cardinals for leaving St. Louis but that happened before I lived here so it doesn't bother me at all. Plus the St. Louis Cardinals football team used to be my favorite NFL team naturally, because I've followed the MLB Cardinals since I was in 2nd grade living in PA. So I've always liked the AZ Cardinals. And the 49ers are one of my most-hated teams so watching them get pummeled makes me smile. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

It ain't over yet. And that's about the only way the Bungals will get anywhere if Roethlisberger is out for any extended period. It looked like an ACL tear to me. If that's true, he's done. I don't think Michael Vick will be effective at all as a starter. It's the NFL though and anything can happen, and usually does.

Yeah I know. I am cautiously optimistic. We'll see. Le'veon Bell's knee injury looked brutal last year and it turned out to be fairly minor, so there's always hope.

That's funny. The 49ers are being embarrassed once again. Great. I hate that team.

| I saw part of the Blue Jays win over the Devil Rays. Great home run by Josh Donaldson! Also, on TV right now is the Dodgers/Rockies game. I just heard them play Slayer's "South of Heaven" on the PA. | |

| Watched the Pirates get one hit by Jake Arrieta and lose 4-0. That game went about as I expected and if things continue the rest of the season as they appear to be, this is a preview of the NL Wildcard game. And that's a shame....for the Pirates. | |

| Man, I don't like these pitching matchups in Pittsburgh AT ALL!
We have to take either game 1 or game 2 because with Martinez out, we're throwing Tyler Lyons against Geritt Cole in game 3. Yeah, good luck with that one Matheny. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I honestly think the Pirates will win the division.
Listening to the Cardinal team, this double whammy of losing Molina and Martinez it just sounds like they're finally packing it in. Add to that the fact that Rosenthal blew two games in the 9th to the Brewers over the weekend and it's only natural to start feeling sorry for yourself. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Don't throw in the towel yet. The Pirates have the uncanny ability to screw things up. Although I will say that Happ is phenomenal tonight. Now if he could get some run support. | |

| The Pirates sure have had Lynn on the ropes this game. If the Cards can just win 1 game in this series, I'd like their chances for the division. But I don't think it matters much; they'll get bounced in whatever round of the post-season they play in.
Listening to interviews with the Cardinal players, they all just sound so tired. Like "enough already baseball gods, you win". _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I figured this game was a lost cause so I started watching Raw.
Did I read that correctiy? Through 6 innings the Pirates have left 10 runners on base? That's just asking for trouble. Take it from a Cardinal fan; we've done that crap all season. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Flipped back to the game in time to see the horrific collision between Bourjas and Piscotty. Piscotty carried out on a cart.
Nice sportsmanship by the Pirate fans to cheer when they saw Piscotty wave his hand. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
