Yeah, I like "Miss You" too. But I can't stand that Rod Stewart song unless it's the Revolting C*cks version.

Diamond Head? This whole demo is baffling.
A lot of musicians are just out of the loop. It's like they just don't pay attention to what's going on in their own industry. Mark Slaughter just released an album on a download card. The guy thinks it's new technology, when this shit has been around for a decade. How many bands have you seen create new websites that look like they belong in 1999? Musicians are flakes.

Combine that with record label folks that have their heads planted firmly up their own (or their bosses) asses and you've got a lethal combination.

All that time Mick and Bianca spent in Studio 54 was bound to have an effect on the music!

Since this thread has gone off the rails, here's two tracks from one of my favorite bands, The Music. They were like a disco version of Jane's Addiction...or something.
Doubt they'll go over well here, but I think they're kick ass. =)

I can't think if the tune off the top of my head at the moment, but didn't Accept put out a "disco" sorta song early on, like on their first or 2nd album? It had a real fast dance beat.

I agree. Will listen to the album again as it's been years, only remember it having long, melodic songs, Led Zep-oriented

I think you are confusing this demo with their Canterbury album. This demo is only five songs long and is horrifically bad on every level.
Also, their Canterbury album is not really Led Zep oriented. If anything, it sounds like Big Country, The Police or something of that ilk. The were definitely shooting for an early 1980s pop/rock sound. Canterbury did have a couple of older demo songs that they re-worked - "Knight of the Swords" and "To The Devil His Due" and those are longer and reminiscent of Zeppelin. Maybe that's what you're thinking of? In fact, whenever I encounter someone that says Canterbury wasn't bad, they always cite to those two songs.

I guess it doesn't sound as disco-y as I remembered. Certain parts of it maybe. The beat and female backing vocals.

Hmmm, maybe it was that one. I could see that one being played in a disco in the late 70's.
