Thanks for saying pretty much everything I wanted to say about Los Angeles Shawn. A strange and wonderful place for sure. Wouldn't live anywhere else, it's too much a part of me now. And let's not forget the sports teams.

And let's not forget the sports teams. I spent most of my life moving all around the country, many different states and many different cities. Still, always had this little thought in the back of my mind that I didn't quite belong. I thought that would never go away. Then I moved to Los Angeles and for the first time in my life I KNEW I was where I wanted/needed to be. Never felt more comfortable or "at home" anywhere else in the country. My only regret about moving here is I didn't do it 20 years earlier. |

| Looks like we just got some recognition. A family who lives on Christmas Tree Lane--an older two mile stretch of houses saturated in Christmas bling--won ABC's Christmas Light challenge. Kind of cool watching it on TV and seeing the neighborhood, local visuals, and even some friends who attended the event. Dude put on an awesome display. | |

I'm glad we had that phone conversation a few years back. I talked it up objectively good and bad. Which is hard for a jaded former native to do. _________________

| If we're posting beach pictures, here are some of the residents of one of Cape Town's beaches. | |
