A classic! Just for the record, there is no WKRP, but there is a WKRC. There is an independent TV station called WKRP, but that's relatively recent.

Cape Town was recently voted best city to visit.
It's the World Design Capital for 2014 (although I'm not quite sure what that entails).
The most recent season of Homeland was filmed in Cape Town.
In terms of sports that I doubt anyone else here is interested in, Cape Town is home to the reigning domestic rugby and cricket champions.
Table Mountain is one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.

I lived in Cincinnati for a year (went to school at CBC). I had a job at a parking garage downtown. Still one of my all-time favorite "joe" jobs. I ended up loving Cincinnati even though I'm from a small town and didn't think I would. I learned that I like cities at night, just how the lights are and the sounds.
Fell in LOVE with Skyline Chili. Put on 10-15 pounds that year just because of that stuff. 24 hour Skyline diner up on the hill and we'd go there at all hours.
I was passing through Cinci in the Spring of 97 right when the Ohio was cresting. Saw a guy kayaking through the parking garage of the Reds stadium.
My wife and I had our first date in Cincinnati and went over to Covington and had a dinner-cruise on the B&B Riverboat. April 4, 1997.
I will still occasionally order some Skyline Chili in cans off Ebay and make it here. My oldest daughter loves it. I'll take it to work for the fellas, and get the typical reaction of the uninitiated.
You're right, unless you're there for sports, Cincinnati isn't a destination city, but I liked it.

I'm glad you liked my hometown, and our horrible chili!

Mildest weather in the country, 350 days of sunshine per year, countless music venues, museums, theaters, the largest urban park in the country, movie studios, recordings studios, cool architecture, beaches, beautiful women, film festivals, movie premieres, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country, great restaurants, a thriving art community downtown, good record stores, etc.

Being from Ohio, and living in West Texas with its lack of rain and abundance of sun, I miss clouds almost more than anything. Cloudy days get me all wound up. They are my absolute favorite days. I love the dreariness of Winter and the early darkness. It tricks me into thinking the day is almost over, then I realize "Hey, there's hours left in the day!" Love that feeling.

You're crazy. Move here. Last Thursday we finally broke a streak of 8 straight days with absolutely ZERO sun. Nothing but cold (mid to upper 30s), occasional rain and wind. When the sun finally came out for a few hours Thursday, I opened the drapes to let the sunlight in and my cats were both like "Ahhhhh....." and laid in the sun, following it around the room until it went down a couple hours later.

I lived in Seattle from 1994 til 2000, that was enough clouds and rain to last me a lifetime.

That's exactly what I told my Mom last weekend when she asked what the weather was like. I said "Like Seattle".

Bizarrely, Seattle actually averages more sunny days a year than Pittsburgh. Seattle - 164 and Pittsburgh 162. No wonder I miss the sun!

Well we didn't feel so lucky last week.
I think maybe I noticed more because one of my cats (the one I used to have as the Gene Simmons avatar) is in her last days and she absolutely loves to lay in the sun so I want it to be out all the time for her.

No wonder I love clouds! Just looked at that list, and Ohio is all over the top-10 of cloudiest days. And, I actually grew up closer to Pittsburgh than Cleveland, Columbus or Cinci, so, yeah, it's in the DNA.

I live in Tulsa Oklahoma.... We are the best of all worlds here.. We are big city (city plus suburbs nearing a million) with alot of suburbs but crime is low, traffic is heavy but easy to get around in, great city highway system, Huge music scene with lots of clubs and concerts, we have the BOK center which is one of the biggest modern concert arenas in the US and lots of bands play there, we have a great art scene, lots of festivals, A great Zoo and a cool aquarium, Lots of huge Casinos including the hard casino and hotel (lots of great concerts there), Trees, Rain, hills, The Arkansas river flows through our city and we have a nice river walk (they are adding restaurants and river activity's all up and down the river), Great record stores and best of all a booming economy with lots of jobs and low cost of living..

But that's part of "Tornado Alley" isn't it? Usually when our weather is forecasting possible tornadoes, they preface the forecast by saying something like "These storms probably won't be as severe as they were out over Oklahoma..."

One thing I realised yesterday, Cardiff is probably the only city that if you stand still long enough, you'll see Phill Campbell (guitarist, Motorhead), walk by twice in the space of 10mins.

Beat me to it!
The coolest thing about my home town is beer. It's a famous brewery town but that's also a big reason why it sucks so badly as it stinks from the breweries.
We are twinned with Elkhart Indiana which should give you some idea of our importance in the world!

Surely the best thing about Tulsa is the fact that Gene Pitney is only 24 hours away at any given time?
