| This is where it gets interesting I suppose ?
They turned another corner and went the wrong way down a one way street. I remember dismissing this album way back when and today it does have some redeeming qualities (IMHO). "Devil Rides Out", "Rock n Roll Gypsy", and "Broken Heroes". Either could easily be by favorite, but "Rock n Roll Gypsy" is my choice. _________________

| Dokken, Ratt, Ozzy, Raven, even the mighty Maiden and Priest also went this direction. So, I guess, all of metal went down that same street at that time. | |

| I remember really disliking this album when it was first released in '85, but I recently got the 2010 remaster and am digging it! I'm going with Rock 'n' Roll Gypsy... | |

| I haven't heard this album in years. But if I recall well, back on the streets was one hell of a track.
so it gets my vote. | |

I did skip "The Eagle Has Landed", so "nope" Thanks for your participation. Voting is encouraged. Saxon is probably beneath your station as Johnny Troo Arcane Steel guy. I like them, so that is enough for me. _________________

I was talking more about their full-length albums. Also, where did I even say that I didn't like Saxon? I'm a huge fan of them, but I don't think everything they released is gold. I voted for "Call of the Wild", by the way. |

I voted for "Call of the Wild", by the way. Notice "probably" was used. Sorry for using your usual consensus on mainstream metal bands as basis for the comment. It does get difficult to keep up. Thanks for participating and Saxon isn't a band with those golden fingers. From 1991 till present, they are pretty close (IMHDO) _________________

I understood everything that was written, but I immediately saw your statement as an irrelevant swing at my preferences. Using "ur so tr00" as a comeback when someone has a conflicting opinion about a band that you like so much doesn't help your case. All it sounds like is someone making a scene out of another person's opinion, which is a meaningless subject to even argue about. |

You asked a specific question and I answered it.  I elaborated a little further cause it's fun to rib people who come across with that perspective.  You more often than not state your affections towards obscure bands from past and present, usually followed by some  retort aimed at the more popular bands being discussed.  Since you go out of the way to do that, I went out of my way to give you some crap for it.  It's just some fun,  don't take it so personal. As far as this statement,  "I understood everything that was written, but I immediately saw your statement as an irrelevant swing at my preferences."   If that was the case, why reply ?  _________________

Actually, I'm chuckling as we're replying to each other! Nothing personal at all. I know that you were being sarcastic, but it didn't strike me as all that funny. |

Maybe you can find a sense of humor on YouTube ? The same place you discovered all those obscure bands you rave about all the time. It is cool that you have the passion. _________________

It is cool that you have the passion. I also discovered plenty of great stuff outside of the Internet. I've got heaps of old Metal Forces magazines sitting somewhere. One of them has the iconic shot of King Diamond biting a nun in the neck. Anyway, sorry to derail your thread for this long, but it was an amusing conversation. |

| I think this album is highly underrated(as is "Destiny" and "Solid Ball of Rock"), "Gonna Shout" is my personal favorite track, though I also love Back on the Streets, Give it Everything You Got and Everybody Up. | |

| Been listening to this album a lot for this poll as I hadn't heard it before. Narrowed it down to 4 possible winners and then down to 2: "Rockin' Again" and "Call of the Wild." I gathered from reading the posts that voting the latter would be more important for determining the winner, but after listening to these songs on a continuous loop a few times, I just like the first track better.

| Hoooo boy, the feminists are gonna have a field day with that pic. Better keep all my KD albums under lock & key when they come storming the gates of my estate.
As for Saxon, I never heard that album or know any of the songs. 'Rock n Roll Gypsy' sounds like a cool title, so let's go with that one. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
