| Just read your reviews on Metallica and you said they sounded terrible live in the first years. Was that even when they had cliff burton on bass or were mostly referring to the ron mcgoveny era? I've got the live bootleg of 18th December 1983 I thought it was a pretty good live bootleg they played few songs from ride the lightening (fight fire with fire sounded great). What about the Metallica shows back when Dave Mustaine was on guitar? | |

No, they sounded like crap early on. It wasn't necessarily their playing but the fact that they had to play in crappy clubs using crappy PA systems, etc.
