The Cult - s/t (aka Black Ram album) *this is the 2nd time I'm owning this album. Don't recall much from it, but I couldn't pass it up for a dollar. I'm now starting to remember why I ditched this album when it was a new release. Yeah, the only song I like from that album is "Coming Down (Drug Tongue)" _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

And yet I still think that S/T is better than the "Born Into This" album; I didn't find anything that could salvage that album. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I heard "Born Into This" once when it first came out and didn't dig it at all. My Cult collection ends with "Beyond Good and Evil" and I think it'll stay that way. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

My Cult collection ends with "Beyond Good and Evil" and I think it'll stay that way. Beyond Good And Evil is why I was so disappointed in Born Into This. BGAE freakin' rocks IMO and I was so psyched for a new Cult album and instead they gave us the turd that is BIT. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Too bad that they couldn't keep that vibe going. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

And yet I still think that S/T is better than the "Born Into This" album; I didn't find anything that could salvage that album. I can't put my finger on what it is exactly about the s/t album. Just too "weird" is best I can put it for now. Born Into This was kinda boring from what I remember. I'll have to pull that one out again too. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Night Demon - Night Demon ep (expanded edition) Sweet. I just ordered this on Friday and it arrived already. With a nifty sticker to boot. It caused a little stir in the office this morning. The return address was NIGHT DEMON. The intern now thinks I get mail from otherworldy beings. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Just returned from Best Buy... Ace Frehley - Space Invader (deluxe ed. w/ 2 bonus tracks) Accept - Blind Rage (cd/dvd) Oddly enough, Best Buy only had the cd/dvd version of the new Accept album. I could've skipped the dvd, but whatever. And the bonus tracks on the Ace disc are stupid. 2 tracks that are already on the album. In shortened, edited form. Awesome!! EDIT: also in today's mail Volture - Shocking It's Prey _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Also, back to The Cult discussion from several posts ago...where do you guys Cult collections begin, out of curiosity? For me, it's Electric. They started into a more hard rock direction, opposed to the goth-rock of their past. Sonic Temple is where it all came together and really got them noticed though. That had the Rick Rubin hits on it. If someone was looking to start, I'd point them to Sonic Temple and go from there. Electric preceded that one and has hints of what was to come, so I like that one too. Check this thread for more Cult suggestions... http://www.heartofmetal.net/t19360-the-cult-best-bester-bestest?highlight=the+cult _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
