In the early 2000s I did vocals for a hardcore band. About half of my band was in another hardcore band called Dead Serious. They released a CD at the time. Now, over a decade later, a small local label has done a vinyl pressing of the record. So I had to get it. I got the pink vinyl out of 70.

I get Wo Fat as recommendations from Amazon all the time. The samples I've checked out sound decent enough, but I'm hesitant to get anything. Don't want to over saturate my collection of "stoner metal" bands. Anything really stand out?

I've got both of his solo efforts now. Is the live X-Pensive Wino's album worth a pick-up?

Those live Sex Pistols albums are usually good but usually its one or two of same gig released over and over, from 1976. Any information were the album was recorded?

I don't have it here in front of me at work, but I know it's a double disc. Disc 1 is the Sex Pistols and I believe it's different shows edited together. I played it yesterday and I think the tracks fade in and out between songs. The last track is the tv interview where they cursed on the air. Disc 2 is Sid Vicious solo live and a few alt takes tacked on at the end. That one sounds like it's an entire show, but I could be mistaken.
The album is listed in their discography, so I don't think it's a bootleg or cheap knockoff. It was released in 2004.
I'm not all that big of a Sex Pistols fan, but I thought the discs looked interesting enough for $3.

When the lads ( and Vicious estate) won the rights to their publishing, name and various films back, they attempted to clean up their market. At the same time they did not bother suing anybody either, the lads feeling its all bollocks anyway since this material has been out in the market place for decades.
On their official website they even offer a helpful discography of the albums official and unofficial released under the name.

My favorite Sex Pistols live album is this one
One because it's pre Sid and great, and secondly it's the only live album ever to have been recorded in my home town of Burton-on-Trent!
I'm too young to have ever gone to the 76 Club. It was a northern soul dance club/drug den by the time I hit my teens. I went there quite a lot

Well, I wouldn't say they're original in what they do, they just do it well. If you dig stoner metal, you'd probably dig them, but I wouldn't call them essential. I do think they're a bit more creative than others of their ilk. They tend to be a bit more "spacey" than the other bands, with longer songs (they have many over 10 minutes or close to it). They just jam a bit more, "trip out" more, you know.
