If I remember correctly, some of you here dig Downset. If you do, you might have missed that they just released a new album called One Blood. This is more of an "original" lineup than the Downset that reunited last year. That version featured a few past members but apparently, at the time, the other guys weren't interested in reforming. So they recruited a new singer, released a single called "Forgotten" (which featured George Lynch of all people), and started to tour.
Anyway, at some point Rey and the other guys also reformed Downset. And that's what you have here. Thankfully the other guys have stopped using the Downset name and are going by CutThroat now. And I say that only because this two-bands-with-the-same-name crap is lame. "Forgotten" was a kick-ass tune, so it's great that they're staying together.
Which do you prefer?
That's the new video as CutThroat, but it's the same song they released as Downset. Great stuff!

IMO, it's not a true Downset without Rey. I am really digging One Blood.
That said... of the two tracks, Downset is more hardcore & Cutthroat is more Nu. So yeah, I dig the Downset overall. Cutthroat wan't bad at all though.

I like the the Downset song just a little bit better. There was a rawer edge and energy to the track which I preferred. The CutThroat song was good too, even if it was nu-metallish. The song has a great message to it as well.
