Running Wild: Blood On Blood (2021)

The new RW album is expected to be released on October 29,2021, via SPV.

The below sample didn't do much for me:

That's not bad. Sounds like Running Wild to me. Not much different from what has come before.

Dynamite tune.
Port Royal vibe. Death or Glory. Under Jolly Rodger.
I love that pirate themed stuff.
But only from these guys alone.

I listened to this song earlier. I wasn't too impressed by it.

I am only missing Shadowmaker and Rapid Foray.

Resilient was the last Running Wild album i picked up.

Quite enjoyable. I need to revisit it.

I definitely liked the track. Great guitar work not just solid but great.

Than again I am easy to please.

Standard RW. I like it.

totally understand that sentiment. Their last three releases have been growers.

Just listened to this today and at least for me it was an instant favorite, this ranks up with anything from their glory days!

I was about to order it, but for no particular reason, i ended up going for some Stormspell releases instead.

Will include it in my next Amazon order, along with the upcoming LA Guns album.

That Diamonds and Pearls song I'd say is the weakest track on the album if that helps anyone.

I rarely ever spin an album entirely before buying the cd.

Still prefer the element of surprise .

I'm the same way. I hardly even listen to samples. I was just pointing out that song, as the consensus in this topic is that it's a lackluster song, is the weakest one. And if anyone was going to skip this album just for that, that it's worth trying other songs before deciding to pass it up.

I got the new album and it pretty standard RW fare but better than the previous few releases. I thought it was fun and catchy.

Yeah, that's how I would describe it. Sure it ain't Under The Jolly Roger, Port Royal, Blazon Stone, or Black Hand Inn, but there is no reason why a Running Wild fan wouldn't like this.

Got the album in the mail a few days ago. Hope to give it a first full spin tomorrow.

Running Wild is classic German metal….going on 4 decades almost.

Yes, it is an enjoyable listen indeed.

CD arrived yesterday. “ Say Your Prayers “ is the total standout for me.
The lead guitarist - Peter Jordon - is so fantastic !
I’m glad about the CD being only a 10 song release. Cannonball solid lol.
Another thing…the lyrics were included. That’s always a plus.
Rolf’s voice is weathered - but the message is still quite strong.
The hints of traditional music - scattered about - is a very nice touch too.
