I just signed up and really know next to nothing about them. I don't really have any CD's that I want to trade, need duplicates for that.

I have a question on their player. I just got an Ipod just recently and don't know much about it. Anyway, I have some stuff syncd on my Ipod that I don't actually own, and their player found it, how do I delete it, should I be concerned about this as LaLa's License says that I have I to actually own the CD's that get uploaded. Can anyone help me to understand how this works better.

I don't use the player, but I know it has issues that they're working on. Lala has big ambitions, but they look too far ahead sometimes. I know you can't delete songs you upload, but you can clear some database so you don't see them on your page.

Your best bet is to go to the forum and search for your answer (don't ask, it's been answered a million times and people are snotty). Just search keywords and you'll find your answer.

I bet then, that there are tons of people on LaLa then that have uploaded tons and tons of downloads that they have on their Ipod. Since they have it in their license not to do that then they can probably go back and say, 'well we can't control what people do.'

And no, I'm not going over there to their forum. I'm to old to listen to a bunch of kids get snotty with me. I have my own 20 somethings that have more than enough attitude to fill up my day.lol! Plus one grandaughter who is still just a baby, but believe me, they grow up fast. I'm enjoying her so much, man is she precious.

Anyway, back on the subject do you need to have the player? Can you delete it?

Haha. No worries, granddaughters will do that. My niece gets me the same way.

Anyway, the forum really isn't that bad. There's a lot cool people there now, and they seem to be of the older crowd. They're a bit uptight and sensitive, they can't handle my crude sense of humor much, but I'm slowly winning them over. I was labeled a racist on like my second post back in the day, and recently I was called a gay-basher! Haha.

Overall, though, not so bad. It's only good to make trades, really. But you should at least search the forum for you answers. People will answer you, if you ask on the forum, but a few people will reply with smartass comments.

And yes, you can uninstall and delete the player. You don't need it.

I'm really running out of CDs to trade! I usually end of trading off my useless Greatest Hits albums I bought when I started getting interested in the band... but i'm pretty much out of those.

Time to hit up the used shops and cheapo bins, Salvation Army's, yard sales and estate sales. Haha.

I only buy new cds there, some are cheap, some older cds range in price from like 6.95 - 11.95 depends on who it is!

I got tired of trading because most wouldn't send me the covers at all.

Its probably going to get worse since they are making the envelopes smaller.

Those envelopes have already been in circulation for a while now. I'm on my 4th batch. They are smaller, but just slightly, so the back art doesn't slide in easily. People are either going to stretch the envelope—which is really easy—or fold the back art, or not include it at all. I think now is the time to start using the trade message feature and telling people they can fold the back art if it's easier for them. That's what I do and generally have no problems.

Folded art is better than none.

Glad I never got involved in this. I'd be pretty upset if I got a cd without the covers or with the covers folded. I'd rather pay more somewhere else and get both the covers and disc the way they were meant to be new. I'm pretty anal about my cd's though.

Yeah, but it's only $1.75, so it's not that big of a deal. Just add it to your wants again. If you receive it again, it's still only costing you $3.50 for a full CD. Aside from one time that took three trades, I've gotten the back art with the second trade. And even when I had to do three trades, that was only $5.25 for a full CD. Still a great price.
