Diamond Dogs - That's The Juice I'm On
My quest to round up all the DD albums continues. I think the only ones I'm missing contain songs I already have on other albums by them so this might be the last one.

I have no idea if we have a Tori thread on here buried somewhere, but Eyesore, you have to let us know if the new one is any good. She's wandered a bit off the reservation songwriting-wise for the last few albums and they all seem to be about 20-30 minutes too long with far more "pretty" music than interesting music. Just my take. Kind of hoping to hear another interesting album from her on the level of "Choirgirl Hotel."

You're talking to the wrong guy. Aside from Strange Little Girls, I've pretty much loved all her albums. =)

None of her albums have been bad or offensive... Just kind of superficially pretty and forgettable, which isn't true of her older stuff to me. The last one I really liked as a whole was probably The Beekeeper and even that had some heavy touches of it.

She older, wiser, happier, man. I'd love for her to go back and do a straight-up piano/vocal-dominant album, like the first two, but with Tori, I think it has more to do with her desire to do something different each time out. Really, aside from the first two albums, every album she's released has had a very distinct sound and style. I do think Night of Hunters had, under all the orchestration, a lot of material that hearkened back to that earlier material. American Doll Posse had some as well. But a number of the "different" songs have become favorites, especially "Big Wheel" and "You Can Bring Your Dog."
I hear ya, though. I tend to feel the same way about Sarah McLachlan. I wish she would revisit that darker material she had on Fumbling Toward Ecstasy. These days, her stuff is very upbeat, poppy, and..."nice." I don't mind it, of course, but I do wish she'd write something with a lot less sugar.

Blues Pills - Blues Pills (Purple vinyl) Wytches - Anabel Dream Reader (Blk vinyl)
Coming now
Witch Mountain - South of Salem (green vinyl) Cauchemar - Tenebrario (Die Hard Clear)
and this heap of weirdness
Yeah, all one record! It's a white label of an early attempt at a repress of these two classics on one disc by Warmaster Records.
I know what you're thinking and yes, collector scum!!

I actually thought Kuolemanlaakso was too marginal for most foreigners, but the new one seems to have totally strange songs. I can't get into it, but I applaud you for your musical taste.

CDs:
Anthrax - Aftershock - The Island Years 1985-1990 - this is a 4 cd box set with Spreading The Disease, Among The Living, State of Euphoria, and Persistence of Time - all are remastered and the last three have many bonus tracks.
Vinyl:
Heavy Load - Take Me Away - 7" red vinyl - this is an oddball that I scored cheap on ebay. I think this is actually the bonus 7" that came with the limited edition of the Death Or Glory album. Somehow this one got separated from that LP. I don't think this 7" was ever issued by itself.
