Heavy Metal album suggestions

Also I'm not big on US power metal I heard a few bands so far but I haven't heard anything that has grabbed me yet. Except for Innerseige but I think there more in vein with the Euro power metal stuff.

For NWOBHM (I don't think these have been mentioned yet, but they are some of my faves):

Witchfynde--Give 'Em Hell and, especially, Cloak And Dagger

Jameson Raid--Just As The Dust Had Settled

Quartz--Stand Up And Fight and, especially, Against All Odds

Scorpions. Get some Scorpions.

Have you checked out Striker? Great couple of albums.

I also wanted to through out there Midnight Priest - S/T album is awesome. I don't have it on CD but I want to get it I heard it on youtube.

With NWOBHM bands, you can't go wrong with my favorite, Angel Witch. The whole album is captivating and full of fury.



They don't seem to get mentioned on this board as much as other NWOBHM bands.

I second Raven, but don't avoid The Pack Is Back, if you like more commercial stuff you'll probably like it.

I'm pretty sure they even lifted one of Sortilege's riffs for a song off of Scream Bloody Gore.

They are pretty awesome, I've had that record for a few weeks now and it rocks.

How about some Jag Panzer or Virgin Steele? Pretty good traditional power metal.

I got a CD copy of Black Trip -- Goin Under great, great album! The singer and drummer are from Enforcer but this sound is very different from them. I hear a more Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy influence in my humble opinion at least. If you see this anywhere pick it up you will not be disappointed.
