Tommy Lee "resigns" from Motley Crue

Not a big shock. Tommy or Vince leaving again was only a matter of time. I don't think their hearts have been in the band since before the first time either one left.

I'm glad I got to see them together on the Carnival of Sin tour. It was an amazing show. But I'm not heart broken over there. It's just Tommy being Tommy and he'll probably rejoin in a year or two. I just hope this doesn't slow down the new album Nikki & Mick are writing.

Any suggestions for a new drummer?

They should get Samantha Maloney back, she was very good IMO.

...or they should just stop the torture.

Maybe he didn't want to go on the "Motley Cruise"

i saw motley crue headline the second stage at download and they were definately one of the best bands there

This doesn't surprise me. He wants to be a hip-hop dj now. He'll be back in a few years when the Crue decides to prop up Mick and tour again.

On the second Pantera home video he was hanging out with Phil Anselmo and Phil talked him into shaving his head and then Tommy looked in the mirror punched it and thought he was a bad bunghole. He is definately a poser!

when i saw crue, tommy lee got the whole crowd doing this rap thing. that was a bit strange hearing billions of metalheads rapping

I just read on Blabbermouth that he's already spinning the story. I'm paraphrasing here, but he basically says he didn't resign from Motley, he's a founding memeber and it's a shame things couldn't work out, but he hopes to work with the guys again some day, yadda-yadda-yadda.
