I was going to sign up for the comp swap and then realized that my collection is pretty mainstream. Most people here most likely have everything I have. I mean, I have some obscure stuff like Forte, Fear Not, and Heathen, but the majority of it are major label metal bands since I only recently decided to rebuild my collection. So I guess there's a risk involved and I hope no one would mind if I sent them a comp with stuff they've already heard and owned. Thoughts?

I felt the same way the first few times this thing happened years ago. I thought my collection was too "common" for most of the folks here so I declined participation. When I finaly did decide to jump in, I was fortunate enough to find enough hidden gems in my collection to keep my swap buddies interested. Or so they told me.

It's fun if you have the time (I don't anymore) and well worth it. You never know what might click with others or yourself until you try it.

It's funny that you mention this because I was looking through my stuff and found a solid number of songs that would appeal to others for the first time. Plus there are some OOP gems, like Fear Not and especially the mighty CYCLONE, that don't get talked about too much on this board. All in all, I think this is gonna be fun. Hoping to get some stellar underground thrash.

Toho possibly lol, I mean of everybody posting to this thread you've known me the longest so you would probably have a better sense of what I like and am not really into though Id be afraid you'd get alot of stuff from me you wouldn't like. Especially since its been several months since ive last gotten a new cd or anything
