| As much as I love new stuff I tend to go back to the oldies frequently. I love old AC/DC, Maiden and Priest (Stained Class is my favorite) I dug out Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings and have been rocking those two for the past couple of days. You tend to forget how great that stuff is and if you haven't listened for awhile, give them a spin and fall in love again. Latz, C

| I seriously get burnt out anything new fairly quickly, and part of wonders if it's because of the recording quality in modern music (everything has to be so LOUD!!!!). But for sure the older stuff not only sounds better but is just so fresh. I went on a Rush binge for a month one time and it never got old. | |

| When it comes to classic metal I'm pretty good stopping around 1983.

| Sad Wings and Sin After Sin are still my favorite Priest albums.
Every so often I get in the mood to revisit what I consider "the classics" and those 2 usually get a spin when I'm on such a binge.
My other go-to albums when I'm on a classics binge include Rush's "Fly By Night" and "2112", Def Leppard's "High and Dry" and AC/DC's "Highway To Hell". Those are all "Desert Island CDs" for me. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| It's funny you should mention old Priest, because I just found a great cite full of "Live" Priest. One of the shows was from Cambridge, England in 78', where they played "Savage" and "Stained Class". I've never found those live before. It wasn't a soundboard show, but a decent ~ good audience recording.
I got into Priest when I was 13, which was 1984, so of course I love that period, so "Defenders" probably ranks as my all time favorite, but I love all that 70's stuff! "Rocka Rolla" is a little harder for me to get into, but I still enjoy that album.

Can you share the link? Thanks, Chris I'm a swell guy, so I can do that... The guy also has a nice write up for each boot, and they go in chronological order, which is always a plus. They have set lists, with pictures included, and can be downloaded in FLAC or MP3. Have fun... http://nuppiz.webs.com/downloads.htm

Sad Wings would be the Priest disc I kept if someone said I could only keep one. A brilliant album from start to finish.

| I've said it many times before... Sin After Sin is the greatest album ever made to my ears. The first 5 Priest albums are absolute perfection to me & I've never heard anything that comes close to them. That's just my opinion though. _________________ | |

And it's quite valid, though my personal favorite will always be SFV. Otherwise, the early shit is a wicked bunch. Sin After Sin and Hell Bent are my two most-played albums. Anyone here ever get bored of Painkiller? It really is a masterpiece but just doesn't hold me anymore the way the vintage stuff does...

| 9 times outta 10 nowadays, when I'm in a Priestly mood, I reach for one of the 70s records. Rocka Rolla still gets a lotta spins from me. In fact, now that you have me thinking about it, I'm gonna throw that one in my knapsack right now for the ride to work tomorrow. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
