Î start this poll inspired by a discussion evolving in the "best post-reunion"-thread. I think it as an interesting question, as Maiden regularly releases live recordings - which some people find rather questionnable.
As for me, I vote for Maiden England. Most of these live recordings are awesome - but this one features Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Which is one hell of a song, especially live!

I have to go with Maiden England also. It was a tough choice as I like them all.

Vote En Vivo today.... could have easily been Rock In Rio. Really looking forward to the full release of the current Maiden England tour (from Download 2013) - Seventh Son is epic live (as mentioned), but even better live with three guitars.
I would rank the live albums (added in ones not in the poll):
En Vivo Rock In Rio Live After Death Flight 666 Maiden England 88 Death On The Road Beast Over Hammersmith BBC Archives Maiden Japan Donnington 1992 A Real Live/Dead One
I'd also rank the "unofficial" dvd/boot Ullevi 2006 pretty darn high on the list. It's a boot from a live broadcast of 'The Early Days" tour in 2006 and has an amazing track list of tracks rarely played anymore (Where Eagles Dare, Prowler, Another Life, Die With Your Boots On, Murders In The Rue Mourge, Remember Tomorrow, Drifter. Fortunately, it's been uploaded to YouTube multiple times if you don't have the DVD boot. And Bruce Bruce says those DVR'ing it to "make sure you make a copy for all of your friends, not just your Swedish ones)

Had to go with Maiden Japan because that was such an important album for me in my early days of discovering Iron Maiden.
Next up would be:
#2 Rock In Rio #3 Maiden England

I just realised that there is no live recording from the AMOLAD tour. Is there by chance some bootleg as well? I remember having seen their Donington show on youtube - they didn't play the whole album though, but a pretty well structured set including 'Children of the Damned'.

Raising Hell . But since we're going with audio releases, Rock in Rio.

Filmed and recorded multiple shows, not yet released. My guess is they are holding it back until after they retire to keep a steady stream of revenue coming in. In Flight 666 (the movie part), there is a scene with Steve Harris in Kevin Shirley's studio to check on his audio mixes of that live show.
That Donnington show was also filmed/record, but the band was supposedly not happy with the performance and didn't want to release it. It may show up in a box set some day.
Would love to see both released someday.

Horrible release - I didn't even list it because it was so bad. I don't think Maiden wants anyone to remember that show either........

Maiden Japan for me. When I bought this it didn't leave my tape deck for weeks. I wore that cassette out!

It was pretty awful. But there's something endearing about it to me. Like a bad b-movie.

Maiden Japan for me, although it was a straight choice between that and Live After Death as I haven't heard the others.

Oh yeah - I remember that scene. I always thought this was some kind of misplaced fragment taken from the production of the studio album. Never really made sense to me. So thanks for the 'enlightment'.
I didn't know of Raising Hell until today. Found it on youtube and it's horrible indeed. That version of The Trooper is just bad. Really. Bad.

And yet it's still about 50 times better than this!!
Any band that has been around as long as Maiden are going to hit a real low point at some stage, this is theirs!

Live After Death
I only wish it came out a year later. So it could have a couple songs from Somewhere In Time.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. I've got a DVD boot of a Blaze show and he just doesn't fit in Maiden. There are some great songs on those two albums, but as Bruce proved on Rock In Rio, they are 100 times better with Bruce.

What did the guy in the audience do to piss them off?

Live after Death for me. I just can't get past the nostalgia factor of that one. It was my first metal album.

I would have to go with Maiden Japan. It was a very important release for me as well as my first from the band. The live album I listen too the most is Beast Over Hammersmith and Live after Death. I like all of the live releases. The only one that doesn't grab me is flight 666 and I guess that's due mainly because I'd much rather listen than watch a DVD.

I'll say Live After Death. I bought the Maiden Japan cassette back in '82 but it seemed like such a tease with 5 tracks. I bought LAD on vinyl and played the heck out of it. It was the first live album I ever heard that seemed like the guitars were like 100 yards from eachother. I would lay on the floor and put one of the speakers up to my head and just listen to Dave Murray, or the other one with just Adrian. I thought it was the greatest thing ever.

For sentimental reasons I almost voted 'Live After Death' which I used to own on vinyl (now on CD) and holy hell what a packaging, the artwork, the tour dates , the pics, the logistics of the touring equiment, roadies, companies, etc. An amazing package one of the reasons I used to love collecting vinyl. Even had a flier with an order form to buy an official t-shirt.
But overall enjoyment I voted for 'Rock in Rio' just an amazing concert and sound overall
