I have loved this band from day one, Screamadelica is a masterpiece IMHO and I love the fact that they have never been afraid to throw away the Primal Scream rule book and do the unexpected and go from this

Any group that covers the 13th Floor Elevators is cool in my book. Screamadelica is a great album but I'm also a fan of the two earlier records.

Not really familair with the band, but I do remember the song 'Rocks'.

We played the song once at a minor league hockey game and afterwards the GM of the team came up to us and said "What the hell was that song you played about getting your rocks off?" Our music guy quickly came back with "Uh, no, he was singing 'Get your rock salt', not rocks off".

We never played it again.

Sad news! (well, for me) Ex Primal guitarist Rob 'throb' Young has passed away.

He's been out of the band since 2006 due to 'personal problems' (I'm guessing it's the personal problems that you heat up on a spoon) but he was a big, big part of what made this band what they were.
