Any Benediction fans?

Scored a bargain, today - Picked up the entire Benediction discography on cd, from a brick n'mortar store (JB Hi-Fi) for a total of NZ$39.95.

7 albums and 2 eps - couldn't believe my luck! Will slot in nicely, next to my two other two British extreme band discographies (Bolt Thrower and Napalm Death).

If you're a fan of Bolt Thrower, Obituary, early Death, early Pestilence, early Sepultura and some earlier Mortification, you might dig these guys. Dave Ingram their vocalist, sang on Bolt Thrower's Honour Valour Pride.. Also Napalm Death's vocalist Barney Greenway is quite recognisable on their debut, Subconscious Terror.

Probably not quite as accomplished as many of the aformentioned bands, but I'm quite digging this stuff.

Can't go wrong with Benediction!

I just picked up Grind Bastard and Killing Music last month since they were just recently re-released. Also had Transcend The Rubicon and Dreams You Dread from years ago. Terrific music and listenable and discernible vocals for a Death Metal Band.

Any other fans of this band - I know Required Fields likes em -anyone else??

They are quite tops! But I love bolt thrower more.

Yeah Benediction are a damn good band.

To me it is mind boggling that a Nelson thread gets more attention than a Benediction one

Nelson are funnier!

Love these guys, always have. Dark Is The Season is one my favorite EP's of all time. Unfortunately, I don't have anything past Dreams You Dread but those first few albums are excellent

Benediction will release Scriptures, their first album in over a decade, next week.

Really looking forward to this.

I only have Transcend The Rubicon and The Dreams You Dread in a double album. Transcend is a death metal classic, the other one is kind of pedestrian. Might be checking this one out though.

Picked up The Grand Leveller on cd at my local record store, earlier this afternoon on my way back home.

Even though Death Metal is not my favourite genre, the album is quite good.

Anyone else owns this? A friend of mine was telling me that it's probably out of print now.
