Tatesryche signs new record deal...

This is going to flop so hard its not even funny and I will be laughing! This is a big joke now!!!

This is really stupid, no one is going to buy a Queensryche album that features the drummer to Ratt on it, the guitarist helped Queensryche turn to sh!t, and bassist for Quiet Riot.

Hell he get even hold on to this half ass line up, first the Megadeth dude leaves, and then the Ratt drummer, the RATT DRUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their performances are crap, he can't use any excuse that they are new band blah blah blah, solo artist like Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne have replaced musicians in mid tour and they don't sound like crap!!!

I am a fan of his voice and talent but this silly crapola, why doesn't he just call it Geoff Tate and be done with it

I'm so tired of hearing about Queensryche and Geoff Tate that I would kinda like to just put them all in a ring and let them fight to the death...maybe we'll get lucky and there won't be any survivors. Maybe we can borrow a couple lions to throw in there with them...

When I came here to post the Blabbermouth story, I debated for several minutes whether to start a new thread or to just add it to the tail of the never-ending "Geoff Tate to Rocklahoma: You Guys Suck!" thread, but I figured 50-some-odd pages of that was enough already.

This thread will replace the old one.

Well, the threads existing don't both me or anything (I mean, no one is forcing me to look at them, right). I just meant that if it weren't for seeing the threads, I would barely even think about Queensryche these days.

Yeah, that seems a bit shallow. I can understand people not liking Geoff(he dosen't sound like the nicest guy to be around, but I don't think he's quite as crazy as say Axl Rose), but I don't think it's fair to dismiss the other members of his band when they didn't even do anything wrong. I for one am going to give the new lineup a chance regardless of Geoff's attitude.

What's funny is that on Google, you look up Blabbermouth, and what comes up as an automatic search option is "Blabbermouth Geoff Tate".

Robert Sarzo was in Quiet Riot? I know he was in Hurricane but don't recall him in Quiet Riot. In Hurricane he was a typical hair-metal shredder...I don't remember him sucking.

Regardless, often times these guitarists are way better than the bands they were in.

The press release quoted above sez he was in "Hurricane/Quiet Riot," which was news to me, unless he was in one of the post-fame, touring-in-bowling-alleys lineups of Quiet Riot...

I agree, Hurricane wasn't that bad of a band, Sarzo is a player but not a writer. IMDHO. Thus my comment on Tate's lack of insight in that department.
The Hurricane album with Doug Aldrich is less original but better songs with less filler.

When I saw Hurricane open for Stryper, it was amazing how much more professional they were than the few other club performances I've seen. Mass played on that same bill and it was a great show. (To Hell With The Devil Tour)

According to Wiki, he was never in Quiet Riot...but he was the original choice to replace Randy Rhoads...he was hired by Ozzy & Sharon, but manager Don Arden had already hired Bernie Torme.

I assumed after reading the "announcement" of him joining Tate's version is that he played with some of the latter versions of QR before Kevin's passing that didn't record anything. I was mistaken
