Good, not great. Nothing wrong with good, of course.
Looks like this tune isn't on the new album, so it's exclusive to the Pigtown Blues 7". This came out a while ago, but is still available, if anyone cares.

Clutch are heading out on tour with Orange Goblin (who are making a rare Stateside appearance). Should be a KILLER show!

I'm eyeing that House Of Blues L.A. date. I've only heard great things about Orange Goblin.
I laugh at that Baltimore date (it's actually Annapolis) since I wonder if the Ram's Head will even be standing after Clutch blows through. Last I'd heard it was more of a singer-songwriter type venue. Good for them in branching out.

I've been a little hesitant to dive whole-hog into Clutch because they seem to be a little too all-over-the-map for me, especially their earlier material. However, I really enjoyed their last one, Earth Rocker and from most accounts I've read so far, this new album doesn't stray too far from that one.
A co-worker once gave me a mix of their material. I stuck the cdr inside another cd I had with me at the time to take it home and mistakenly filed it away. I don't remember what artist or album it was. One of these days, I'm going to pop open an old Warrant cd and find an additional Clutch comp in there.

Really, only the first two should surprise anyone familiar with their latter, more popular material. But from The Elephant Riders on, they've been pretty consistent style-wise.

I've done this with regular CDs. Instead of bringing two jewelcases with me, I stick one CD in with another and take one jewelcase. I always seem to find the empty jewelcase months later, never the one with the two CDs. Haha.

This may have made me squeal like a little girl! I really enjoy Clutch! This tune could have come off of Robot Hive/Exodus or Blast Tyrant rather than their more recent offerings. I will be preordering this soon!
