The two Connery sets have a bonus "special feature" disc for all 6 films in both sets. The Roger Moore (two three disc sets) and P. Bronson (3 disc set) are just the movies with no second discs. I paid 9.99 for each set and 5 bucks for the single "The Living Daylights" with that other dude in it. I was hoping for the recent Bond flics to come in 3 pack set, but got "Skyfall" on Blu-ray" and the other two with Craig for 5 bucks each. That added up to 19 Bond flicks and I wondered if dude who did "The Living Daylights" made a second one ? Then it hit me, I remember they did a movie in between Connery flics with that other dude, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
I'm gearing up to head out and do highway work (paving and new construction) in a few weeks and am will need some entertainment. Most of the work we do is out in BFE, so it's camper time after work. Timothy Dalton did ' Licence to Kill' which is one of the worst films in the 007 series | |

| Dammit I was just about to post the exact same info that S.D. did, he obviously types faster than I do ...So nevermind. On a somewhat related note, "Living Daylights" w/Dalton was on the G4 Channel last night, and ... yeah, it's not very good. Only caught the last hour or so of it, but that was plenty. I don't need to revisit that one anytime soon. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| crazy stuff...... Why leave off "View To A Kill" from the Moore sets and "Tomorrow Never Dies' from the Brosnan set ? I mean they put 6 discs in both of the Connery packs, sheesh. Not to mention the "pimping" of the new collection states all 20 Bond films sure I can find those other ones for 5 bucks at future trips to WallyWorld _________________ | |

Because HBO had the US rights to the film and they are almost impossible to deal with. I'm amazed it finally got reissued. |

| I was getting ready to ask my "Acquisitions Agent" at work to see if he could find it but I figured I'd check Amazon one last time. I was shocked when I saw it for sale. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Interesting bit of trivia. This film was originally supposed to get a theatrical release by Miramax in 1990, but Miramax was concerned over the quality of the film when they finally saw it and they instead licensed it to HBO for a direct-to-video release. Toho later sued Miramax for breach of contract, they settled out of court. |

That shows how much Miramax knows; as kaiju movies in general and Godzilla movies in particular go, I think this is one of the better ones. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

It is one of the better ones from that era...but let's be honest here, to the average (non-Kaiju geek) filmgoer it's pretty silly and probably would have flopped in the theater if it had been released that way. Dubbed films are always a tough sell in the States, add some of the goofier action sequences and the concept of Godzilla fighting a big rose and I think it would have been doomed at the box office. Miramax probably made the right decision at the time. Godzilla 1985 was a domestic flop so I was surprised to hear that Biollante was ever planned at all. Even Godzilla 2000 failed to get interest only managing $10 million in the box office on its quick theatrical run. They originally had a deal to release 3 of the millennium films in the states but after G2K's poor showing the plan was cancelled. I'm not saying the films are bad, I'm just saying the audience for them is very niche. |

| Picked these up from Best Buy: This era was the pique of my WWE fandom. The beginning of the Attitude era was so much better than the later part. Though these PPVs were better priced than the major ones, this eventually led to WWF and WCW oversaturating the market with monthly PPVs and now none of them are cheap. | |
