Seeing that Pretty Maids album cover brings back memories. I picked up my copy of that at a used CD store in Stockholm, Sweden back in 1991 when I was there on a business trip.

What do you think of this one? I was listening to some of it and I liked it better than I thought I would. I just might have to pick this one up. Funky!

Ditto on that Junkyard. And the s/t as well. Both albums really held up well too. They don't sound dated or cheesy at all to me. Which I can't say for McQueen Street and Roxy Blue.
I've given the McQueen Street a couple of back to back spins today and it didn't seem as bad as most late to the game bands of that era. The songwriting and performances were above average and I didn't have the urge to skip a tune. I'm gonna do the same with Roxy Blue and let ya know bout that one as well. I am familar with the singer from that band in work he did with MSG. I can say, I recall scoping out a video by Roxy Blue way back when. Dude can sing.

McQueen Street came to the party after the keg was kicked and all the good chicks were taken. Had they arrived a little sooner, maybe things would have been different.
Roxy Blue I had on tape eons ago. The only thing I really remember was them being a 3rd-rate Van Halen DLR wanna-be band. Sorry fellas, The Bullet Boys already took that title.

And that was no slight to the BBs either. I like them. Never got to see them live though.
Nothing inherently wrong with either one of those bands really. They just both happened to come in late in the game when the genre was just oversaturated with their brand of hair metal. On the plus side, that McQueen Street goes for some nice coin on ebay. If you only paid a buck or 2, you got a deal.
