from SACD Gotta get Greatest Hits II to get 'em all IMO. Songs like "Her Strut", "Katmandu" and "Fire Lake" are missing from the first GH volume. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

IMO, if you get both those "greatest hits" collections, you have what you need. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Wow. Violent New Breed sounds like a whole different band. I imagine this "new sound" went over like a giant turd in the punchbowl on it's initial release back in '93. Not sure what I think of it yet. Need to live with it for awhile and let it sink in. One thing I don't like about it right off the bat is the general repetitiveness of it all. I think that's more of an industrial thing though. Anyhoo, here's a couple recent additions to the old collection: High Spirits - Another Night Nebula - Dos EPS Rival Sons - Head Down Spiritual Beggars - s/t debut (reissue w/bonus tracks) Shotgun Messiah - Violent New Breed _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

Shotgun Messiah - Violent New Breed Affirmative on all your assertions. And yes, the repetitiveness is generally a trait of industrial music. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Nothing wrong with a little Tom Jones. I became a bit of a fan way back when Art Of Noise did their version of "Kiss" and then again when Belly did "It's Not Unusual". Good songs and a good crooner. Works for me. - Quote :
- Onyx: Bacdafucup
An under-rated rap classic at the very end of my rap fandom. Never gets the respect it should for how influential it ended up being on what was to come. From amazon since I was getting free shipping on my TurboTax package figured I'd throw some cheap stuff in. [img] [/img] From LaserCd. Bought Friday morning had it Monday. Can't beat that. [img] [/img] From the secondspin part of my order they didn't screw up [img] [/img] So I ordered the famed Ratt Ep from secondspin. It was a decent price given the going rate. Unfortunately this is what I got... [img] [/img] Now I can accept employee mistakes. Especially when it comes to different editions/versions. But this was listed in their collectable rarity section. You would think they would at least police that section with a little care. They even had the thing listed on amazon. Still waiting to hear back from them. Ah well, you win some, you lose some.

Looking at BB bums me out now. I used to buy quite a bit of music from them, 10 years ago. Every time I go now (which is less and less often...really less often), there is barely anything. Maybe if there is a high profile new release--like when I bought Monster there. But the days of finding random metal gems there seem pretty much over. | |

That print would be a bad @$$ shirt too ! I think it's from '88 w/ Steve Morse...In The Spirit Of Things tour... Edit: Featuring performances by Steve Walsh and Steve Morse, the album was recorded on February 14, 1989 at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during their In the Spirit of Things tour. _________________ FINAL SIGN

But the days of finding random metal gems there seem pretty much over. It honestly looks like they're just letting it deplete over time without re-stocking. Everything was so mixed up and scattered. 6 months ago it had 5x the amount of CDs and was organized much better. _________________ FINAL SIGN

The last time I went, there was lotsa standard release stuff for $9.99 or less. I think they're just trying to move things out. I'll only go now if it's a high profile release that's on sale. Otherwise it's a waste of time anymore. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. But they had NO Maiden anymore, and I was lucky to find that import U2 single (of which they had 3...weird). _________________ FINAL SIGN
