But that's the point: overcoming your fears.
It's funny because when you first tumble out of the plane your brain screams "What the F*** are you F***'n doing?!?!?!?" But it's just so freakin' exhilerating that the feeling simply can't be described. Especially once the chute pops and you realize you're going to be OK.

I'd rather just avoid my fears altogether thank you.

Yeah, personally I found that you have to get to the "I don't give a s*** what happens" point before you go through with it. If I had a family for instance, I don't think I'd have ever jumped out of a plane.

I had to sit on the tarmack for 6 hours with a severe hangover before the weather cleared up good enough. And that was AFTER fretting about it for 3 months. I am sure there is some military on this board that is laughing at me n Toho, but whatever. That was seriously intense. I also bungied off the 300' Queenstown Bridge in New Zealand, but only took about 15 minutes to set up that and leap. That was a couple of years before the skydive, which is good - cuz I do not think I would have been able to jump out of the plane with out the experience of bungying first.
