Go ahead and laugh but to this day I think this album contains some of the best hooks to ever break big on the radio.

EDIT: On a side note, the video of me skydiving is set to the song "Follow You Down" so maybe I just have a soft spot for this band.

Toho - YOU skydived? Me too! In Ocala, Florida in 1996. My soundtrack was Schtum - Skydiving. No offence - I think that Schtum song is the ultimate soundtrack for jumping outta a plane.

Yep. I did a tandem jump back in '94 from 10,000 feet. I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 3 years and a bunch of us guys from the plant where I was working figured, "WTF, let's jump out of a plane".

To this day that is the greatest "high" i've ever experienced. I walked around with a shiteating grin on my face the whole weekend.

EDIT: The coolest thing is that I had a still of me skydiving blown up to poster size and I have that hanging in the "man cave" in the basement.

My quote on the vid when I landed? "Johnny Bauer for President in 96!!!". What an f'n rush. Loud as a frieghttrain, then complete silience and the worlds biggest picture window.

Nope, this was when I lived in Connecticut.

And you are totally right; when you first jump out and are freefalling it's loud as hell. Once the chute pops, it's like a library. That is the memory I carry with me to this day.

I can seriously understand why heroin addicts turn to something like skydiving to try to equal the rush they get from drugs. Nothing like it. You have to do it to appreciate it.
