This is a really cool post-rock / avant-garde metal album (completely self produced). Back when it first came out in 2007, they shipped out 10,000 free hand-packaged CDs... which I think is really cool. They've all but run out of CDs since then, but they do offer it for a free download on their website.
Really good stuff, especially if you like Kayo Dot. At times it reminds me of Choir of the Eye.

Guess I should post this here, too.
New video from Ice Dragon.
Local band. These guys churn out music like crazy. It's real atmospheric and doomy. Some more doom, other more atmospheric, like these videos show. Not for every doom fan, but I think they're great.
And all of their albums are technically free (name your price) on Bandcamp.
They just put up a new video today (or yesterday, now):
A Muse cover. Wish we could download it. Speaking of downloads...

On the 14th of every month they're giving away one instrumental (aka karaoke) version of a song from from the album. It says they'll do this until the one-year anniversary in May, but that would only be five songs and there are six on the album.
Anyway, there are four available now. Never hurts to have great instrumental prog tracks.
That's some killer marketing right there. This band needs max support. Just heard the album start to stop, I'm ready to call it my favorite album of 2013. It has these amazing twists and turns with jazz and classical overtones, and the vocalists voice is straight-forward but very pleasant. I'll take those instrumental tracks, too.
