Raw and gritty rock and blues with some soul thrown in and you add Paul Rodgers on vocals and the late great Paul Kossoff and you get Free amazing band that was short lived!

This is one of the greatest bands ever, and i mean ever!
Has their ever been a singer/guitar combo as good as Paul Rodgers and Paul Kossoff.

Oh yeah what a great rythm section, Free is the very definition of a supergroup even more so than Zeppelin.

From the viewpoint of a music fan and a musician, I would have to disagree. Matching up player to player, Zeppelin gets the nod for versatlity and overall musicianship. I think Paul Rodgers is a very soulful singer and can play alot of different instruments very well, he falls short of Plant's dynamics in the vocal dept.
I would call Bad Company a supergroup as opposed to Free. Kossoff may be a tastier lead player than Ralphs ? But the songs of Bad Company edge out Free in the longrun.
