Oh, I know. I have that one. =) They've mellowed out as they've gotten older, shed a lot of their punk influence, but they're still great. I remember when they used to play "I Can't Surf," Jimbo would actually get up on his standup bass and "surf" while playing it. It was awesome.
A while back, watching vids on YouTube, I noticed he doesn't do that anymore. Clearly he's too old or two fat now, which made me feel old and fat. Haha.

Yea, what's the story with I-Deals? I saw them pop up a few times with prices that seemed too good to be true, so I was hesitant. I finally pulled the trigger on 2 cds and a few days later, the order was cancelled. My money was refunded, so no harm, no foul. Just seemed odd
Apparently their pricing software went haywire or something. I don't know anything about selling on amazon but I guess there is some way to make sure you always have the lowest price. Guess it malfunctioned. I frequent a deals site where people were going crazy over some seller having dollar movies. I didn't think anything of it till I saw on my wish list all these things for a buck. Thought there was no way in hell it wouldn't get canceled. Everything I ordered did eventually get canceled except the one thing I really really wanted. Got very lucky with it. Months back importcds had a similar problem and they very generously honored all of it. By the way I-Deals is the old blowitoutofhere seller. Sucks to be them since they gave away a lot of inventory and then faced an onslaught of negative feedback from people ticked their steals got canceled. I figure those types of things are always worth a shot.
I saw Rev. Horton Heat and the Supersuckers in this tiny club in the early nineties. Amazing show and the next morning I ran out and bought Full Gospel Sounds first thing in the morning. I'm a not big fan of the later releases but they're still pretty good.

There are companies out there, like those sniping companies people use for eBay, that will actively monitor your seller account. If someone lowers the price of an item their client is selling, their software will automatically lower it.
But sometimes when multiple companies are selling the same product and using the same software, the software just goes nuts. Prices can go down and down and down—because every time one seller drops his price, the other does as well, and it just goes back and forth like that—but they can also go up and up, until it gets ridiculous! That's why there have been items priced in the millions on Amazon, when in reality they're cheap everyday items.
And you can use it to your advantage, too. I've done it before. I'm a huge fan of The Coral, but at one time I didn't have their first two EPs. I still don't have one, but I got the other by scamming the system. Sort of. I saw that someone was selling one of the Coral EPs, but for like $30, which was too much for me. So I pretended to sell my own, and priced it at $18. The next day, the other seller was selling his for $12, which I promptly bought, then deleted the item from my inventory.
Because even though some people, the big sellers, pay for a company to do this, most sellers actively monitor their stock to make sure they're the lowest price. So if you really want something that is priced too high, you can try what I did. =) You just gotta worry that someone else might come along and buy your copy, a sale in which you'll have to cancel, of course.

Just submitted my address to Kickstarter for the Swimming Pool Qs double reissue project which was fully funded and then some. Because they got about 5K more than needed, they are also sending a T-shirt with the Q logo to all backers. Good deal, I get the newly remastered S/T and "Blue Tomorrow" albums on CD and digital AND a T-shirt for $19.
