Guano Apes - Bel Air (it was free - never heard them before) I got that, too. Already own it, though. Guano Apes is a fantastic band, but this album isn't their best. Still alt-rock, but much poppier than their early albums, all of which are excellent. Bel Air is good, but not great.

| I've heard some Guano Apes and what I've heard wasn't half bad. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

From the I-Deals price-bot amazon fiasco
Tank - Filth Hounds Of Hades - Dogs Of War 1981-2002 Boxset (four bucks shipped! My other orders got canceled but hell this was the one I really wanted. Best deal/steal ever territory.)
Yea, what's the story with I-Deals? I saw them pop up a few times with prices that seemed too good to be true, so I was hesitant. I finally pulled the trigger on 2 cds and a few days later, the order was cancelled. My money was refunded, so no harm, no foul. Just seemed odd. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

I used to have CJSS' Praise the Loud on vinyl. That was such a good record. I should get it again; it's been a while.

| Today:
Europe - Out Of This World Franz Ferdinand - This Fire (CD Single w/Non-LP Tracks) Gary Clark Jr. - Blak And Blu Jet - Shaka Rock Melissa Ferrick - Goodbye Youth Stone Sour - House Of Gold & Bones Part 1 Ten - Heresy And Creed
Passed on the deluxe version of The Sword's new album at Newbury Comics because it was cheaper at Best Buy. Went to Best Buy, and all versions were sold out. Great for the band; sucks for me.
I also couldn't find the new Ill Nino or Sister Sin. Laaaaaaame!

I am kinda interested in this. I listened to samples on Amazon, and some of the tracks sounds great, and others sounded like boring pop songs to me. I may end up just buying the mp3s of the songs that sound a bit more rocking.

| Some recent additions:
Down - The Purple Ep The Hellacopters - Rock & Roll Is Dead The Hellacopters - Head Off Rev. Horton Heat - Spend A Night In The Box ReverendOrganDrum - Hi-Fi Stereo The Sword - Apocryphon (deluxe ed. w/5 bonus tracks) TAB the Band - Zoo Noises
The ReverendOrganDrum is Horton Heat (aka Jim Heath) with a few buddies playing mostly instrumental tunes with just guitar, organ and drums. Think Booker T. and the MG's kinda vibe. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. There is some old-school R&B and a little hip-hop. Some tunes are a bit indie rock, too. I actually really dig it, but I think having such a wide array of styles will hurt him. I expected some different flavors, but I also expected a mostly blues album. It's not. It's about half blues half other stuff.

Branching out a bit? Didn't know you liked the Rev! Oh yea, I've been a Rev fan for some time now. I grew up around allot of rockabilly (early Elvis, Johnny Cash, etc.). Then at some point I discovered the Rev and his suped-up version. I've just been slowly filling in some of the gaps in my collection. Still got 2 or 3 to go. I had no idea of the RevOrganDrum album till I saw a link on Amazon looking for other Heat albums. I listened to all of about :30 before I added it to my cart. It's very cool. Horton plays a mean gee-tar. I can't find any decent clips on YouTube, but you can sample it on Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Hi-Fi-Stereo-Reverend-OrganDrum/dp/B000YNFXUU/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1351103178&sr=1-1&keywords=rev+organdrum The James Bond Theme is bad-ass. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was.
