I don't like either team; I'm rooting for mutual annhilation.
Getting ready to watch the game as well.
I hate games like this. THe only thing worse is when the only game on is between teams I'm totally indifferent about. At least games like Dallas vs. NY will keep me interested because I hate both teams. Show me something like KC vs San Diego and I'll go to sleep.

Considering this thing was reportedly made for less than $1000 and the producers used cake icing as zombie makeup (and it shows), the actual FX of zombie destruction are pretty impressive. And there are some intentional jokes in here that actually work. It's not "Shaun Of The Dead" but given it's miniscule budget, this film does an admirable job of trying to pull off the "zomcom" genre. Besides, name another zombie movie from Argentina...
I think this would be prime fodder for a FF Hub review!

"The Runaways" (2010)
Joan Jett and L.A. impresario Kim Fowley manufacture the ultimate all girl rock band in the 1970s, who make a brief splash and then quickly implode in a haze of drugs and egos.
Interesting (if slightly dry) bio-pic that supposedly isn't very historically accurate even though it's based on Cherie Currie's autobiography. After a while I got the feeling that the movie should've been called "The Joan and Cherie Story," because the other Runaways are basically background characters who have very little to say or do.
Great performance by Kristen "Twilight" Stewart as Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie, though, and of course the soundtrack rocks. Good stuff.

Kristen Stewart was trained by Joan Jett herself in preparation for the role, including playing guitar. All the girls in the movie went through a month of rehearsals and learned to play all the songs. When Joan Jett was played a tape of Kristen singing one of her songs she thought they had made a mistake and were actually playing an old track of herself performing.
Lita Ford and Jackie Fox both declined the rights to their life stories, so the producers were legally unable to give them any significant scenes in the film.

I loved the Runaways movie, it was not very factual but it was very good, especially enjoyed the actor who played Kim Fowley, his performance was a lot of fun to watch.

I loved it too and Kim Fowley in the movie was great. But in the book he comes across as the lowest scum imaginable. Kind of takes away some of my enjoyment of the movie knowing what the reality was.

Yeah, the guy playing Fowley was hysterical. He did play him as quite the douchebag in the movie, so I guess it's not much of a stretch from how Fowley is in real life.
(I cracked up @ the scene when Joan Jett called him from the road to beg for more money, and he was banging a groupie on his desk while talking on the phone at the same time... way to multi-task!)

"Godzilla" (1998)
A big budget Americanized remake of the Big Green Guy should've been a home run. Unfortunately the project was headed by "Independence Day" director Roland Emmerich, who'd apparently never seen a "Godzilla" movie in his life.
In this version, Godzilla is a radioactive-mutant Iguana from the South Seas (?) who stomps his way across the ocean to set up shop in New York. Mayhem, and of course lots of explosive special effects, ensue. So far, so good. However, this is a "Godzilla" movie in name only.
Here's a partial list of what went wrong:
*Godzilla doesn't look like "Godzilla."
*Godzilla does not breathe fire.
*Godzilla is a "burrower" who hides underground (on Manhattan Island?)
*Godzilla lays eggs (?), resulting in tons of offspring, so that the last half hour of the movie looks like an urban take on "Jurassic Park."
*Most of the actors are hilariously miscast, particularly the uber-wimpy Matthew Broderick as a crusading scientist and two members of "The Simpsons" voice cast (Harry Shearer and Hank Azaria) as network news men. For some reason, Jean Reno is shoehorned in as a member of the French secret service (?).
I saw this movie during its theatrical run in '98 and I happened to be pretty hammered at the time so after all these years I remembered almost nothing about it aside from a vague feeling that it was terrible. Watching it last night, those "vague feelings" were confirmed. This movie is a travesty. I'm surprised that Japan didn't declare war on us again after seeing what Emmerich did to "their" icon.

In bootcamp, after we graduated but before we were sent to our school, as a "treat" we watched that movie. Horrible but mercifully my mind blocked most of it from my memory. I only remember that it was definatly "not" Godzilla and that Matthew Broderick was in it.

Did you see Godzilla:Final Wars ? Every japanese monster is in it as well as GINO (Godzilla In Name Only) and basically Godzilla takes them all on. Needless to say GINO (rendered by CGI-the only monster in the movie done that way) gets the shite kicked out of it.
As for the movie, I too saw it theaters (perfectly sober though) and was completely disappointed. What a waste !

I loved how easily the "real" G dispatched GINO; it took about a second. I made the mistake of seeing the Americanized Godzilla in the theater too and I left so pissed off I embarked on a real G marathon, watching all the Japanese Godzilla movies over the next several days. Even the awful Godzilla vs The Sea Monster (where Godzilla doesn't even hit the screen until the movie is half over) looks like Oscar material next to that mutant iguana crap.
