If I Go Away or Believe? Which one do you like more? Kmorg need not reply (but can if he wants)


Two songs that move me no matter how many times I hear them. Both remind me of Criss, and the latter's lyrics are of course on his gravestone.

Which one do you prefer? Why?

I've actually been thinking about this recently because I know most people seem to like Believe better but I think If I Go Away is much much better.

Another great Savatage ballad is This Is The Time.

I love them both, but i agree with you. i have no other reason than it just hits me harder when i listen to it. I wish TSO would do it live.

Believe of the two but All Tha I Bleed is my favorite ballad by them.

ah, the crowd favorite VS the underdog! actually, I like them both almost equally. Most of the rest of 'Streets' I can't say that for, however....

My favorite Sava ballad would be "When the Crowds are Gone".

As STREETS is my favorite Savatage album, I can't choose between the two.

Kmorg, that wasn't an order, I just already knew the answer. We all did.

OCI, Streets has grown on me over the years. It's one of my favorites now. Maybe because I'm old.

I've never been a fan of Streets aside from a few songs (Jesus Saves, Ghost In The Ruins, Sammy & Tex), I don't think it's a bad album, it just wasn't what I was looking for in a Savatage album at the time.

My favorite Savatage ballad would probably be either "Out On The Streets" or "When The Crowds Are Gone".

Oops, I'm not sure why I typed "Strange Wings", I was thinking of the power ballad "Out On The Streets" from Sirens. Getting senile I suppose.

Out On The Streets is a killer ballad from Savatage!!!!

Of those 2 choices, I'll go with Believe.

Definitely 'Believe'. I also feel that 'Heal My Soul' is an underrated classic.
