| I'm a big Kiss fan. Earlier in the thread people were talking about Unmasked. I've always liked this album. I think the songs are very catchy and I've never been quite sure what people don't like about it. Too poppy perhaps? I'm suck a big fan that I honestly couldn't pick a favourtie album. Maybe Revenge because it was my first Kiss album. It's a hard one. I can say I'm not a big wrap on Carnival Of Souls or Hot In The Shade, but the rest are all firm favourites. |

| someone asked about Ace Frehley's upcoming solo album here is the lastest from Eddie Trunk's website: Ace Frehley had a HUGE weekend at Chiller signing autographs Saturday and Sunday. Ace was in good spirits and had a great time with the thousands that turned up to see him and get something signed. The Chiller event is only a couple miles from where I live in NJ so I had the chance to hang with Ace Saturday and Sunday night. It was fun to get away from the expo and grab some dinner and hang out and shoot the smurf poo. Everyone was asking about Ace's new solo CD. Trust me, it is recorded, but he is still tweaking mixes and trying to determine what versions of these songs he wants to put out. He asked me for my thoughts and I will be helping him through this process as best I can. Also, understand it has been 19 years since he put out a CD. The business has changed drastically so I am also giving him some direction there. This CD will come out, but when he's comfortable with the sound and arrangement to get it out. The hard fact is that classic artists rarely sell new music or have hits (AC/DC and Metallica one of the rare exceptions), so I urged Ace to make a CD for him and his fans, not what people tell him is hip! I'll keep you posted. | |

Classic rock bands and artists are not going to grab many new fans with a new release that attempts to capitalize on a trend.

| Watched One Live KISS last night - great DVD. Paul's band (the Rock Star: Houseband) is really tight and are all excellent musicians. the DTS 5.1 mix is awesome - highly recommend this one. I'm going to wait to buy it and see if it comes out on Bluray. | |

| This is from Eddie Trunk's website, only a small item about Ace's upcoming album : 11/5/08: As I finish writing this I will be getting in the car and taking a ride to my good friend Ace Frehley's house/studio to listen to his new album and help him with some decisions on mixes, songs, and how to actually release it. Ace has been asking me to come for a while and I finally cleared some time to do it. My friendship with Ace goes back over 20 years and he was my first signing when I worked for a label in the mid 80's. He has not done an album since then so I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing where things stand and helping where I can. For all who have been emailing for info I will post a full report either tonight (depending on what time I get home) or tomorrow the latest. | |

I guess when you play the albums in your car and at home they stay fresh in your mind and you sometimes forget how long ago a particular album came out. Thanks for more good news, manny. Peace.

| Here is maybe good news from Paul Stanley about the possibility of a new KISS album: KISS rhythm guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley has confirmed to Classic Rock magazine that the band is seriously considering recording a new album. Rumors of a brand new KISS release first surfaced last week on photographer Ross Halfin's blog. Now Geoff Barton has taken it upon himself to grab the Classic Rock poker and agitate the embers of speculation.
Classic Rock: What does the future hold for KISS?
Stanley: It looks like we'll be touring Europe as well as the States next year. You'll be getting more of what you saw at the Download festival this past summer — the "KISS Alive!" vibe amped up to the max. There might even be a new KISS album at some point. I have been ambivalent to the idea in the past but I'm much more open to it now.
Classic Rock: Why is that?
Stanley: Well, I thought that I'd be content for KISS to remain a heritage act, just playing our greatest hits — "Detroit Rock City" and all that. But the new KISS lineup with Tommy Thayer (guitar) and Eric Singer (drums) is proving to be so good, so strong in spirit, it would interesting to see how we perform in the studio. I must stress that no recording time has been booked at this point. But it if we were to go into the studio, the intention would be to make a KISS album in the style of our 1970s recordings. A classic KISS album, unmistakably.

| yea we're happy hear that but as far as we know, possibility of new album is far away in the galaxy. paul need agreement from gene. it's better if paul record new solo album than kiss and go for tour over clubs as he did in '06. included in usa and rest of the world. i don't believe that we see new kiss album in sooner future. IT'S A FAKE ! | |

| I am sure both Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons saw the exclusive deals that AC/DC, Journey, The Eagles, and Genesis (for the live DVD) made with Walmart, and how successful those deals have been. Being no dummies I am sure you will hear a similar announcement from the KISS camp concerning a new studio album with an exclusive deal with Walmart, Best Buy or somebody. | |

There's already a KISS Coffeehouse (or should that be "Koffeehouse?") ... maybe that's how they're testing the retail waters? Now that I think about it, there was an all-KISS store called "KISS WORLD" that opened briefly somewhere in Australia (?) I believe, several years ago, but it went out of business rather quickly. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

The coffee is pretty good! I've been there. One of my friends visited there when he was vacationing in the area a year or so back, he said it was pretty good coffee too... He picked me up an enamel pin with the coffeehouse logo underneath the ROCK N ROLL OVER artwork on it. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
