I saw the movie Rush:exit stage left back in the 80s when it came out. I remember buying the record after this. I could have sworn the record had "Limelight" on it. I recently picked up the remastered cd but noticed "limelight" is missing. Am I remembering wrong or has the track lineup for the cd been changed from the original record?

They played and recorded 3 nights in late March '81 in Montreal. Most of the ESL album was taked from March 27 and did not include "Limelight". The video was recorded a different night and included "Limelight" and different versions of the tracks from ESL, except "Red Barchetta", which was the same on both.

Yep, stepcousin is correct.

I've always preferred the film version to the album, I think they were especially "on" the night of the film.

Here is the track listing for the video and the album:

DVD
Intro (includes narration, with segments of "The Camera Eye" live version), 2:15
"Limelight", 4:38
"Tom Sawyer" (Lee, Lifeson, Peart, Dubois), 5:00
"The Trees", 4:47 >
"Xanadu", 12:32 (narration at the beginning)
"Red Barchetta", 6:37
"Freewill", 5:50
"Closer to the Heart" (Lee, Lifeson, Peart, Talbot), 3:30
"YYZ" (Lee, Peart) (segments of the live version, with interview audio) 1:25
"By-Tor and the Snow Dog", 4:13 >
"In the End" (Lee, Lifeson), 1:42 >
"In the Mood" (by Lee), 1:35 >
"2112: Grand Finale", 2:42
End Credits ("YYZ"), 2:20

CD
"The Spirit of Radio" – 5:11
"Red Barchetta" – 6:46
"YYZ" (Lee, Peart) – 7:43 (includes a Peart drum solo)
"A Passage to Bangkok" – 3:45 *
"Closer to the Heart" (Lifeson, Lee, Peart, Peter Talbot) – 3:08
"Beneath, Between & Behind" (Lifeson, Peart) – 2:34
"Jacob's Ladder" – 8:46
"Broon's Bane" (Lifeson) – 1:37
"The Trees" – 4:50
"Xanadu" – 12:09
"Freewill" – 5:31
"Tom Sawyer" (Lifeson, Lee, Peart, Pye Dubois) – 4:59
"La Villa Strangiato" – 9:37

*Worth noting is that tracks 4-7 were recorded on the previous tour (Permanent Waves 1980).
