I imagine it's expensive to have a band member on another continent.

I hear he is a primadonna and the band doesn't want to work with him.

Didnt know that as i love his vocals when he was in the band.

Kind of surprising since this is supposedly their last album and tour.

My guess is they either rehearsed and didn't like how it was going...or they weren't able to rehearse (scheduling issues). Either way, it sounds like the band was concerned about the lineup performing live and wanted to make a change prior to hitting the road.

Or Mats Levin will sing for less money.

Or Lowe refused to wear a monk's robe and run around stage. Haha. Lowe is much less animated in comparison, so I guess some could say he's boring.

I don't think Candlemass needs a "showman", it's very much "stand in one spot and slowly headbang" kind of music.

It could have been about the money aspect...or maybe Lowe's voice isn't up to a tour at this moment. Who knows. I'm sure he'll post details online at some point.

Leif has been very open about it all in interviews I've read. Rob went through a divorce or break-up of sorts, and got VERY depressed. It even started to affect his performances. The band wanted it to work so bad, they told him to pull his act together, and they would give it another go.

Basically it's Messiah all over again only the opposite of his behaviour.

You know, I was watching one clip from 2011, and at times it looked like Lowe was reading from a teleprompter. But then it just showed two pieces of paper, which I assumed was the setlist. Maybe it was lyrics? Didn't seem to affect his performance, though.

And if that's the case, how the hell couldn't Lowe learn the old lyrics! Isn't Candlemass like his favorite band? Jesus.

I can't get to broken up over this. The new album is finished and the band is supposedly done recording anyway. Thanks for the music, Rob. Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

He sounds closer to Rob than he dose Messiah.

Yeah. Rob is one step away from Messiah and Mats is another away from that.

At the releaseparty yesterday Leif said Rob had some problems in Dallas and they were happy that Mats could jump in to help out with the gigs. Personally I cannot draw any conclusions but it does not seem there is any deep animosity between Rob and the band. Mats sang the old and new songs without any problems.
