| So the never-ending "metal soap opera" that is Trouble continues. Jeff Olson just posted this on facebook a little while ago.
I am very sorry to inform you all that upon much thought, and effective immediately, I will not be participating with The Skull. I've decided to wait for a real Trouble reunion with original members or not play Trouble's music at all. I can not speak further about it at this time. This will be my only post as I am removing myself as an administrator for this page. - Oly Olson
This is so comical. One of these days these guys need to either get a full reunion together or just hang it up.

| To be honest, i'm actually looking forward to the new Trouble album with Kyle Thomas on vocals. I think his voice will give the music a heavier edge. | |

| What did you fine people think of The Skull's debut "For Those Which Are Asleep"? I'm not sure who the real "Trouble" is anymore with the fine "Distortion Field" being a mighty fine offering too. In a weird way "The Skull" sound more like Trouble than the band currently under that name...With Franklin and Wartell, the original Trouble seem legitimate, yet the Skull has the Vocals of Eric Wagner, the one true vocalist everyone thinks of when Trouble is mentioned. | |

| I haven't heard either The Skull or Trouble's Distortion Field, but both are on my want-list. I think I'm more interested in getting For Those Which Are Asleep though. The songs I've heard sound very good. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | The Skull album is much more to my liking stylistically and sounds more like classic Trouble. |

| I like the Skull record. I have about 0% interest in their drama. There is way too much of this in the older bands. If they have differences they should sort it behind closed doors. | |

| Original TROUBLE drummer Jeff "Oly" Olson has decided to leave THE SKULL, the band he formed with fellow original TROUBLE member Eric Wagner (vocals) and longtime TROUBLE bassist Ron Holzner. "There is no animosity in the band and it was a friendly departure," reads a statement from Olson's wife and publicist, Leigh Olson.
Jeff tweeted earlier today (Friday, January 16): "I loved jamming with @TroubleTheSkull, but it's time to depart and wish the band all the best! Looking forward to my next chapter..." _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Well, at least he recorded the album with them. Jeff is a unique drummer, it's a definite loss to the band. |

I saw Jeff with Trouble in 2008 (when they were dragging around "he who shall not be named" on vocals) and he didn't say a single word to the other band members either before or after the gig. He stayed at the merchandise counter and had no interaction with the others, not even when they went on stage. He got up on stage, played the set and then took off immediately afterward while the rest of the group hung out at the bar for awhile. He quit less than a month later and I wasn't the least bit surprised. |

| I think a lot of the problem is Jeff doesn't agree with Eric's vices. Bruce said the reason Eric wasn't in Trouble any longer was that touring was just too much temptation for Eric and he was unreliable. Possibly the same things caused the problems with The Skull. Or maybe Jeff is just an asshole that nobody gets along with... |

What's wrong with Kory Clarke (ex-Warrior Soul) ? A Detroit tattooist once told me about Kory's old fans/friends not liking him for no longer being soley "punk", when that Warrior Soul album was released. | |

All four of those items were on display at that Trouble gig. Clarke showed up 25 minutes after the band was supposed to have started. He was drunk off his ass, staggering. His voice was thin, he sang in the same monotone on every song, he kept forgetting the lyrics and was just 100% wrong for the band. He was also using a mic stand with scarves all over it like it was 1987 and he kept trying to do Steven Tyler like poses but was either too drunk or not drunk enough to pull it off convincingly. I had seen him way back in 1990 with Warrior Soul and he sounded like a completely different person. |

| Even back in his prime, I don't think his voice is right for a band like Trouble. | |
