I really don't mind the concept of kickstart, and I think there have been some bands that have made good use of it. But when asking for donations to produce an album I think the artist should at least TRY to look like they appreciate the money. Put forward a reasonable budget and use whatever means at your disposal to stretch the funds. Be shrewd, be clever, use the technology designed to streamline this stuff, and above all let go of some ego.

I will give him 1 crisp American Dollar if he promises that there will never, ever be another House of Lords album.

In all seriousness, I'm a huge fan of Lanny and have pretty much every album he's ever played on, but like someone said, I don't understand why these guys don't pool their money and pay for this themselves. That's chump change for Sorum, I'm sure. From the looks of the pledge amount, that's what's going to happen anyway, if they really want to do this.

I know the people of those countries and raising awareness for their struggles are a subject that is near and dear to Lanny's heart and he's very passionate about it, but I don't think this approach is going to fly.
