Van Halen vs Chickenfoot

Ok so I got my tix in LA for both VH and Chickenfoot !

I'm more of a Hagar era fan and Michael Anthony fan!

But what's funny is do you think they planned that I'm
Seeing VH on June 9 and Chickenfoot the next day on June 10!

Yup. The new VH album is better than the new Chickenfoot. With that, I'll agree.

However, in a live setting, I think Chickenfoot will fare better. I watched Van Halen last night and they looked tired and old. The Van Halen brothers are just going through the motions for a paycheck. Dave is getting creepy to look at and Wolfgang still seems lost on a big stage.

If I can muster up the energy myself, I might post a concert review. While the setlist and sound was strong, the performance was stale.

It sucks watching your rock star heroes get old.

New VH is good...new Chickenfoot is REALLY good.

I might get fried for saying so but the new VH sounds like songs form a byegone era, which it mostly is. New Chickenfoot at least has freshness to it. And better BGV's.

Just kidding - it's all good! I like Chickenfoot III better than the S/T, but like the new VH album better

Don't get me wrong, I like the new VH but the new Chickenfoot is more solid to my ears.

Just for the record, I do like Sammy. I think he's a great singer (Yes, better than DLR). I just don't like the Chickenfoot stuff that much (so far)... And Joe is holding back IMO. Eddie on the other hand sounds a lot better than I expected on the new one.
