You get this:
I dig the chick, although I have to admit I liked her much more in her old band CITADEL, now sadly defunct...

mmm, well, it was entertaining. I wouldn't say unlisteneable. More like , Why would you? The singer looks like Chris Jericho from 2001 and the chick is hot.

I couldn't make it past the first 50 seconds. As soon as that cheesy ass riff and "Star Trek vocals" kicked in I was done.

That's an interesting statement. Who's "thing" would this be exactly? What audience are they going for here? The band and the girl by themselves is ok I suppose, but then Balki comes in outta nowhere and starts dropping some dope rhymes. Who wants this?

the simple fact that someone created it says that there are people whom this appeals to. i would assume they are "going for" people who like odd musical pairings.
which would be me, normally. this just doesn't blend well to my ears.

Americans are the most close-minded fans in the world. A band like Mucky Pup can go over to Germany today and play in front of 20,000 people. In the US, they'd be lucky to get 20 people in any club outside of New Jersey.
This band would flop in the US, but I imagine there's a market for them in countries where people are still open-minded about music.

Probably has to do with the way the music is marketed and promoted by the powers-that-be that control a large portion of the airwaves in the US (something most of here could care less about). You also have to consider the cultural background of Europeans and the surrounding areas. Lot more open-minded about music in general, even if it sucks like just about all the videos posted on this thread. But that's just my opinion, not some factual statement of course.

American's can't even understand their own art-forms, jazz for example. Europeans have always been more open-minded, which is why many of the prominent jazz players emigrated to Europe in the 60s. They were ignored completely in the states, but they were treated like royalty overseas.

Germany also worships David Hasselhoff, so we can't really go by Germany....

Same with many of the Blues artists. Thankfully European countries helped many of the masters continue their recording and playing careers for our benefit.

This band is pretty good musically, not big on the vocals though, and i normally like metal band with operatic female vocalists like Within Temptation, Theatre Of Tragedy and Lacuna Coil.
