- You had that? Cool. That's one my brother and I discovered that I can appreciate at times. A sipping beer if i've had one.
Lately I've been discovering Belgian ales. I hate "fruit beers" but Belgian ales get their "fruitiness" from the hops. It's an undefined fruit taste; unlike "fruit beers" which add flavors like lemon, cranberry or whatever. I've discovered I like a specific style of Belgian ales; Belgian dark ales. North Coast brewery has a fine example of this style they call "Brother Thelonious". Recently I've discovered that Unibroue brewery from Canada also has a great one called "Trois Pistoles". Good stuff! But as you said DH, these are definitely "sipping beers"; the ABV is generally around 9% or so so they're not "session beers". EDIT: just poured another Old Rasputin. Still my favorite RIMP. I'm aging some of this in my basement.

| I've had some of these: while playing Left 4 Dead 2 with some friends. Beer works best while killing some zombies with an electric guitar | |

| Made another journey to Friar Tuck liquor. Came away with:
2 4 pks of North Coast Brewery Brother Thelonius Belgian Abbey Ale 1 4pk of North Coast Brewery Old Rasputin Russion Imperial Stout 1 6pk of Mendocino Oatmeal Stout 1 6pk of Avery Brewery Out Of Bounds Stout 1 6pk of Thomas Creek Doppelbock Lager 1 6pk of New Holland Cabin Fever (brown ale) 1 4pk of Whole Hog Russian Imperial Stout 1 bomber of Great Divide Yeti Espresso Stout 1 mini-bomber of Twisted Pine Espresso Stout
This place has cost me a fortune since I discovered it back in October. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Yeah, I walk into that place and I'm like a kid in a candy store. Of the stuff I bought today, I've only tasted Brother Thelonius and Old Rasputin before; everything else was a blind buy.
So far I've only tasted two of the unknown beers and the Cabin Fever was excellent; the Mendocino Oatmeal Stout not so much.
