New song "Discard Your Fear" from the upcoming album "Love, Fear and The Time Machine".
Not sure that it's been mentioned yet, but Amazon has this new album with a release date of September 4th

Love, Fear and the Time Machine is out today and is available on Spotify & Apple Music for the streamers.
I'm waiting for my deluxe edition to arrive so I'll be listening to the stream until it does.
My initial impression? Their most beautiful and accomplished record yet. Mariusz is an amazing talent, triple threat singer/songwriter and exceptional melodic bassist and he continues to improve with each record.

Finally got around to listening 'cause, you know, Maiden. First listen is, they didn't do SOaNG part II and this is very mellow with lots of 70's Floyd to my ear.
Shrine was a thematically dark album and for that mood the heavier riffs and the more purposely retro sound of tracks like Celebrity Touch fit beautifully. But in reality most of that album is pretty mellow and melancholy. It's a beautiful album as well, but overall Time Machine is a little more upbeat and driving.
I know Mariusz said in an interview that this album would be a little closer to the debut album sound. But Love, Fear And The Time Machine is such a mature work it's miles ahead of where they began.
There are some new wrinkles here and there, like the nod to The Cure with #Addicted, but primarily it sounds like a Riverside album, at this point in their career I think it's safe to say they have their own distinct sound.
I keep coming back to the vocals on this album too, Mariusz sounds amazing throughout and his performance on Towards The Blue Horizon really blew me away.
I'll probably write a review of the album, but for now I'll say that the opening track "Lost" is one of their best. It's such a great dramatic introduction for an album and that melody has been living in my head since I first heard the album on Friday.
I also love the opening instrumental section of "Saturate Me" that's one of the most fun heavy prog grooves I've heard this year. This album does have several tracks with heavier sections, it's just not the modern metal sound, it's more 70s with a lot of Hammond organ.
This album is filled with beauty. I found Towards the Blue Horizon to be a most affecting track, while #Addicted walks a fine line between mood rocker and dark ballad. The singer draws a lot of vocal inspiration while maintaining his usual style. I like his Brian Ferry adaptation on Caterpillar and the Barbed Wire.
The riffs are also quite great even when sticking to simple pentatonic variations.
The bass is a forefront instrument in Riverside and used more melodically than a lot of bands do. Often the bass is covering what a rhythm guitar might do which frees up the guitarist to play single note melodies. The bass is never just there to lay down a pulse, it always has interesting melodic ideas to add to the arrangement. It's really a guitar/bass/keyboard frontline in Riverside.
SD, did you get the standard version or deluxe package? I want to get this, but I'm debating as to which version. If there are bonus songs, I'll spring for the deluxe. I can do without dvd's or blu-rays.

The bonus tracks are instrumentals (there are some wordless vocals as well), they are taken from the same session that produced the bonus tracks for SoNGS. 5 tracks clocking in at 28 minutes. Interestingly they included one of the instrumentals at the end of the 2LP set as well.
I pre-ordered the deluxe edition from burningshed though it appears to be out of stock at the moment.

Yea, the 2nd bonus disc that came with SoNGS are just 2 long instrumentals. I may try and hold-out for the deluxe then. I want all the Riverside I can get.

New-ish Riverside album coming later next month. I believe it's a compilation of previously released instrumental stuff.
2 discs worth of music. Here's what their Wiki page said...

That's amazing? It's amazingly boring to me; the guys voice is good but that song is boring as hell IMO. I barely made it through and then wished I hadn't wasted the time.
