I've always liked Soulfly, even their first few albums (the so-called "nu-metal" albums), but they've gotten heavier—and better, in my opinion—over the last few. This song is nuts, though. Unexpected!

I loved the new song.
I'm with on you this one - I've always liked Soulfly and have a soft spot for it in my heart even for the earlier 'nu' albums.
The new song is just totally brutal and it feels fresh as well rather than just something quick and rehashed.
Can't wait to get this when it comes out.

Sounds great! And i also like their so called NU Metal albums. But i`m not one of those elitists who thinks it makes them more metal and a better muman being by hating everything under that umbrella....

good is good.....labeling ruins the fun of the unknown. Discover with your ears and not what you read. Dig how the drums at the begining make a lil statement.

that's the song with Travis Ryan doing some guest vox. definitely gives it a more extreme feel.

Dark Ages is the album that turned things around for them. I like "Conquer" the best so far. I didn't like the Omen album... I think they're trying to make up for that on this new one.

Their last album was awesome. Max has really transformed this band in a good way.

I thought it sounded rushed. And the production was dull.

I don't think they are making up for Omen with this album. At least I thought Omen was good and stronger overall than Conquer.
In any case, I find it funny how there was a time when Max was being called a sell out by the true metal cohords, and now it seems Soulfly is far more accepted by the metal community. When Primitive was released, I remember metal-rules gave it a very scathing review (ok it is not their best but this was also a very 'experimental' phase for Max).
However with later releases, the praise-o-meter seemed to go higher and higher from the metal community. Hardly is anyone saying Soulfly is as good as 80s Sepultura - that would be sacrilege by true metal terms but rather than the sell-out label it seems the closeted fans are calling it 'generic' and other such on the fence type term.
Whatever the case, Soufly rocks.

As said before - Soulfly to me were already kinda good with "Prophecy". "Dark Ages" only fortified that and the last two albums were great piece of modern thrash-like metal. Looking forward to the new one.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion of coarse. But I think you are mistaken. Omen sounds like bad leftover songs that didn't make the Conquer record. Also to me the production is dull and poorly recorded. In fact, I'm not a big fan of Logan Mader's recordings in general...

I loved Conquer and Dark Ages.
Omen was pretty good too as well as Cavalera Conspiracy.
I hope this one lives up to the others.

New single!
Pretty cheesy lyrics, but kind of a badass tune.

His son's drumming is kind of bland, but overall it's cool tune.
