There's something funny about this, I just don't know what.

Wacken was only 2 days back then. I remember we came down just in time for me to see Angel Dust. That is also (regretably) the only band I bought a t-shirt from.

When I see the line-up now it's strange how many bands I managed to miss!! Anvil, Warrior, Riot, Exciter and Pegazus for instance! I was also not an Iced Eart fan yet, so I only watched half their show (I attended the Hard Rock Festival 2 days later and did the same mistake there).

There had to be some changes there also though, or this poster does not show all the bands. F.ex. I remember seing Doro there, and Arch Enemy (before Angela joined) And Cradle of Filth were headliners the first day. I know Edguy made a surprise gig in one of the tents there. That was a great show, and hundreds of people missed it, becasue the tent was too small! I also have a paper-banner signed by Sentenced, so they had to be there as well.
