Raw Material seems pretty awesome. I might have to hunt down some of their stuff one day.

Thanks. Norway had several great proh/rock bands in the '70's. Very few of them made it to the big league, despite being as good as, or even better, than many of their international contemporaries. Bands like Titanic, Ruphus, Aunt Mary and Difference released stellar stuff. I'll post more clips later.

I have a couple of Ruphus albums, they're good! Aunt Mary sounds familiar, too. My lazy butt would have to go look and see though if I have the latter.

Thanks for sharing this stuff! I've been on a big early prog / psych / doom kick this past year. There were so many really cool bands from this era that are overlooked and forgotten, I love discovering lost treasures.

I finally hear Popul Ace/Vuh. I don't know what kept me from checking this band out before. REALLY good tunes.
Here is the version of this tune that got me INTO Kansas:
This is why Live albums kick ass!!!!!
and here is just and excellent prog tune from Point Of Know Return:
I do not know how someone cannot like this if they like prog! Awesome complexity and counterpoint.

I don't know I haven't listened to this band before! I've seen their name, but never checked them out.
I happened to see this book in Tower Records in 1997 and bought it. That started my renewed interest in Prog:
and yes, I still have that cd!
