Fates Warning 1988

I was just listening to a recent Fates Warning cd I bought for a buck at a pawn shop "FWX" and started going down ol' memory lane. Back in June (I think) of 1988, I saw them four times in less than two weeks time. Opening for Warlock in Riverside (Doro was such a hottie back then), headling in Anahiem and them opening for Armored Saint (twice) in Reseda.

Only saw them once previously and never again after that.

Killer!! Fates Warning and Armored Saint together must have been a great show!

I'd love to have seen them back then but I only have the bootlegs.

You caught them at their peak (85-90).

Lucky guy. I would have loved to see WARLOCK back in the 80s. I have seen DORO many times during the 90s/OOs and WARLOCK a couple of years ago, they kicked ass.

Wow didnt know Warlock were even still together.

Would have loved to see Fates back then. That's when I was really getting into them.

I really need to get into tbe early fates warning material.

Their albums are really hard to find around here.

I have heard many of their other albums, but if pressed for a choice, I'd pick The Spectre Within (1985) since it embodies a LOT of Iron Maiden, and IMPROVED upon it.
To me , Spectre Within - The ULTIMATE pure classic heavy metal album.

1988 - etc ... it's ok

Awaken the Guardian is my favorite Fates Warning album!

That was a one off reunion gig... at Wacken I believe.

Yeah Speed101, KMORG is right, a reunion gig but i saw them in ZARAGOZA, in spain at a big festival with TWISTED SISTER playing all the STAY HUNGRY album from the first till the last song, IMMORTAL reunion tour, MANOWAR, STRATOVARIUS, QUEENRYCHE, PRETTY MAIDS, PRIMAL FEAR etc...

I've never seen Fates Warning live. I have been fortunate to see Warlock in the middle slot on a bill with Megadeth and Sanctuary. I did get to see Armored Saint with Wrathchild America and Last Crack. What memories!!!

I like Wrathchild America. I have a friend who saw them before they even recorded an album.
